If you'll notice the committee put three SEC teams in this week's ranking and everyone has already said "wow! looks like they don't care about conference champions!". I'm here to tell you that's absolute bull shite.

100% agree with you...
and don't worry, they still love you and are pulling for you to make it...they just didn't want to seem too biased to Bama the first week.

Seriously though, it's a sham....you are exactly right...they know that only 1 team is likely to make it to the final 4

SEC Champ
Fla St
Oregon
K State/TCU
Mich St/Oh St
2nd SEC team....

I think this will be the Ultimate order...with the second sec team around #6...

Now, Let's all pull on LSU......we got a chance baby....

But by implying that beating Bama isn't all that significant, you are devaluing Bama itself. That's why that argument is flawed.

If Auburn and State win out or only lose 1 game, both get in. That's the only way the SEC gets 2 in, imo. Because if AU wins out, OM and Bama are eliminated and if State splits games between Bama and OM, State goes to the SECCG still. IF we won that, then both teams are in.

Okay maybe "sham" isn't the right word. It may not be a cognitive placement by the committee to lock out two SEC teams. But it definitely is set up in a position for the SEC teams to fall behind the teams that will be winning every week from now on. Mostly due to schedule. But the black helicopter excuse was way more fun.

Ole Miss probably should have beat LSU and that Freeze blew it

LOL....not even Ole Miss fans believe this is the case. Ole Miss was dominated on both sides of the line. Could they have won? Absolutely....but should they have won? Should have been about a 17 point LSU win.

Just like MSU and LSU....could LSU have won? Absolutely.....should not have been close.....

I think they are realizing that it is pretty damn difficult to beat LSU in Baton Rouge on in a night game......as you already know.

So you think two SEC teams are making it? I don't. They will all knock each other off.....perhaps if Auburn and State both win out.....other than that....I don't see it happening....maybe State and Ga win out until the sec champ...and Ga wins?

It's not really set up in any way.

If Oregon wins out, they deserve to be in.

If FSU wins out, they deserve to be in.

There's nothing wrong with either of those things. It's not a sham and it's not political. Those two teams would deserve it.

However, if either of those teams loses, they may be done. SEC teams have very tough schedules, and the committee is going to reward that.

If the SEC has two teams with one loss at the end of the season, it's very likely that both get in IMO.

No you're implying that I'm saying that. What I'm saying is Ole Miss has one impressive win. But people act like they are on the same level with MSU which I think is totally ridiculous.

I have no idea at this point.

I think the SEC champion will have one loss (shite, maybe two).

We have to see how everything plays out. All I'm saying is that the committee isn't going to keep a second SEC team out just for the sake of putting a different conference representative in each of the 4 spots.

They're going to look at the resume and entire body of work and see which team has done the most. If two teams are pretty much dead even, then if one is a conference champion that will be the tie-breaker. That is fair, and I'm perfectly fine with that.

they should be devalued. Arkansas beat itself (to borrow a phrase from you guys).....it won't matter after next weekend anyway.....they will be looking up at LSU in the SEC West race...along with Ole Miss after Auburn goes in dry.

Works both ways. Can't have them both, choose one.

fair enough. I just think they are trying awfully hard not to sound bias and take the BEST teams no matter what conference...but deep down they know that all those teams are going to knock one another off....a lot would need to happen to get 2 sec teams in.

I still think LSU has a shot....so what do I know...ha

do explain.....I'm not sure whether you are Ole Miss or Alabama.....I wiped out two in one posts....so....lol...and do explain where my thinking is flawed....you don't think LSU has a shot against Bama? ok

Yep. But a lot of teams are losing left and right this season. There's a lot of parity.

They do. Just win the conference.

God it's like you guys just find a target and shoot without checking if it's a deer or a stump.

I was making a case as to why Alabama should be below Ole Miss and you come out with going in dry jokes about upcoming games.

A lot of wasted words and opinions in this post and replies...
First, the best conference in football is the SEC, secondly, the best division is the SECW...
We have seen it before and it looks like it will happen again, two SEC teams will be playing in the NCG...and most likely, they will be from the SECW...sorry G-dawgs, you have a shot, but the light aint too bright...
All this bantering, positioning, chest thumping, and calling out has no meaning in the grand scheme of things...Only thing that counts is WINNING!!! Win and your in...

I keep hearing Bama has not beat a ranked team. If memory serves me, UF and A&M were both ranked in the top 20 at the time of our game. WV is at the top of the Big 12 currently and ranked. Dont forget our win over each team them contributed to lowering their current ranking. A & M's 3 loses are to #1,#4 and #6. I dont think that makes them a dumpster fire. Not yet anyway.
