I don't need to read it again. He completely misunderstood what I said and the situation with the UK player saying what he said. He was looking for a reason to be outraged which is exactly what I'm talking about.

I'm not a Cam fan, for the same reasons you are stating. All QBs are brash. Some just hide it better than others. Some embrace it and hope it makes them stand out and payoff in endorsements, etc. Michael Vick was one of those. Cam is one of those and Manziel was one of those. They marketed themselves that way. The problem with that is it puts them under a microscope and when they inevitably crumble (Make mistakes) opens themselves up to criticism.

Manziel is constantly bashed, but to acknowledge that would screw up the op's racial narrative

Yea I remember all those Manziel bash threads after he beat the shite out of his gf.

and when he skipped rehab

oh yea and when he missed team meetings

Larry the golfer made a thread going on about Cam being the embodiment of everything wrong in the NFL.

Now it is bad when a guy who enjoys celebrating scoring TDs is consider the cancer to the league. When there are cheaters, rapist, drug abusers, and over degenerates playing the same position.

You completely misread that situation. I'm not surprised.
I didn't say that his comment was meant to be derogatory. To me the statement implied black superiority, and if it did, then that is racist....right?

He is gone. Nobody was pumping him up anymore. He is yesterdays news. Did you see all the threads about him when he was in the SEC and A&M fans were continually pumping him up and tooting his horn? Same with Cam and Auburn fans. This has nothing to do with color as much as a backlash on Auburn fans pumping him up.

Really? You are going to hold Larry the Golfer up as typical?

So people were butthurt over a logo change? who are the children in this case?

You Auburn guys went over the top, and that is why there is such a backlash

you mentioned what we are seeing is in response, do you not think that comes from both sides. Again, there just as many before and after in regards to affiliations of thread creations

The only thing "outrageous" in all of this is some of your posts in this thread.

8 pages in a little over an hour about a topic beaten to death?

What the...

He's black and this board is full of southern white folks who don't even know they are racist because it's so engrained in them that it's just a state of being

Oh, nevermind

If Cam gets all this hate just because he is black then why don't all the other successful black QBs, black MVPs (in all sports), and hugely successful black athletes all over the country and world receive such hate? They are black too, so people should hate them too if it's about race. Yet many of them are widely respected and loved.

It couldn't be because of other attributes besides skin color could it?

The black athlete saying people hate me because I'm black excuse is just a huge cop out today. The most popular and loved athletes in the world are largely not white. Many of them are black.

There are surely racists out there that don't like black people including Cam. But his skin color is not the reason he is the lighting rod for criticism that he is.

That goes against the apologists' narrative. He cannot be held accountable. You need to look inside and adjust your mindset.

Yea, that's what I said

jeez Louise. Harrison should not have said that. Not because it was racist but because it was inappropriate and unprofessional.

Are you actually saying that Harrison's statement wasn't meant to imply racial superiority in basketball regardless of the tenor of the statement?....just yes or no, please.

no, it was not

He said what he said because black people say n i g g a and he was mad that Kaminsky went bizerk on them. It was pretty straight forward.

Not butthurt. Everybody just got tired of the bandwaggoners.

Sure. Auburn people have reacted the same way because people have unjustly trolled them.

I'm just shocked that you seem surprised by the backlash.

Your train of thought on this is hard to follow, because it's ludicrous. I haven't had to scramble yet and I can assure you that you of all people will not make me.
