Black coach & white guilt?
Cool posters?
Almost came to paint vs Arkansas?

I just don't see it. They returned pretty much everyone last year and still lost 7 games.

They remind of last years Miss St as far as pre season hype.

I expected a lot more from Miss St last year.

I don't get it either. And their coach is an overrated douchebag.

We won nine games and finished ranked. They lost the Liberty Bowl.

Would have been funny to see them competing in the same state.

I don't get it either.

They will finish 2nd to last in the East this year, but not finishing last is an accomplishment for Vandy.

Either way, Franklin is gone next year.

Best recruiting class in Vandy history, good young coach, and coming off a successful campaign last season which could very well have ended in an 10-2 record (four SEC games decided by a TD or less) instead of 6-6. Looking at the schedule I would say a 7-5 or 8-4 record is a possibility.

Maybe because it's fricking Vandy and he led them to like their 4th bowl ever in his first year, and his recruiting class is currently in the top 15. That is incredible.

I think you missed my point

Record wise State actually deserved hype even if it wasn't lived up to.

But they were competitive in almost all of them and probably should have won 2 or 3 of them. They are much more dangerous than they have been in year's past.

They are also recruiting a bit better.

This. Jesus, there's a lot of haters in this thread. Vandy hasn't had this much reason for optimism in a long time. And it's not like the expectations are through the roof. If they win 6 or 7 games next year their fans will be pumped.

One of the best imo for his age.

You could say that for a shite load of teams I'm sure every year.

The Ohio St team that beat Miami had 8 or 9 wins that were won by 7 or less. You could say they were on the verge of only getting 3 or 4 wins that yet.

They had a better year in 2008. Look at how dangerous they were in '09 and '10.
