Where is Franklin going next year? Penn State? Why would he go there? Wouldn't he be concerned that Penn State could legitimately receive the death penalty for covering up Sandusky's crimes for years? How could he believe he could recruit kids to such a school with such a scandal hovering over it like a storm cloud?

Have other schools shown any interest in him?

I keep hearing this nonsense that UT is more attractive than Vandy. Would you want to coach a program full of players who have a intimate relationship with the Knoxville police department, or a program that does not know what AAU means? Whose endowment is only 1/4 the size of Vandy's? What kind of financial nest egg will they have if there is a terrbile economic downturn?

Vandy is very good in all sports except football. That is about to change for the better. But Tennessee's inabilty to beat Alabama and Florida will remain forever.

Rest assured, if he gets Vandy bowl eligible this year, he'll be a hot commodity. It's just the way it works.

This statement has no basis in fact. No team has beaten Alabama more than Tennessee has, so to say that this perceived inability will never change is simply not true. And even if it were true, what does this have to do with Vanderbilt?

Since Neyland was hired at Tennessee in 1926, Vanderbilt has beaten the Volunteers a total of nine times. Vanderbilt has been to 5 bowl games in its history. Tennessee has been to 49. Tennessee is set to reach and surpass 800 program wins this season. Vanderbilt is well short of 600. Tennessee has won two undisputed national championships. Vanderbilt has won none. Tennessee has won 13 SEC titles, and Vanderbilt has won none.

Based on these facts, you forecast that Vanderbilt is about to reach new heights in football while Tennessee will remain in the depths forever. The data make such a conclusion wildly improbable.

A coach wants players that can play. Our endowment and whatever else is irrelevant to the football program, and we have a bunch of nerd students that don't support said program, along with a bunch of shite turn coats who attend Vandy but root for UGA or whoever else.

I imagine if he has another good season this year then we will show interest in him.

I think we are going to be looking for an offensive minded/strong recruiting HC first off and he fits that bill well. The only thing hindering him would be his lack of HC experience but two "successful" years at Vandy shows some pretty solid coaching imo.

You do know that Harvard doubles the highest fbs school (stanford) in endowments and they are terrible in football. Using your logic, Harvard should be the greatest athletic school of all time.

Do you also know that Cal had more endowments that USC last year. Does that mean Cal is a better job than USC?

The two highest endowment ACC schools last year were Boston College and Virginia, should they be the elite football schools in the ACC instead of Miami, FSU, and Vtech?

Just bought my Vandy season tickets. Going to the Auburn one for the wife. Selling the others.

They play USCe, UF, UT, and Aub. What a home sked. $$$$$$$$$$$$

Really? You mean pretty good at basketball, and good at baseball and not so much anything else?
