You get it. Quality of resume. All Georgia had to do was beat Georgia Tech, and they'd be in the peach bowl.

Unfortunately that is true and we blew it. I wouldn't go as far as some Ole Miss fans are saying how y'all beat 3 NY6 teams because 3 of our wins are better than Boise St., but when you look at the two resumes side by side there really isn't a great argument for having UGA ahead of Ole Miss (with the possible exception of comparing how both teams performed against the same opponents).

Fair enough. I don't think they were much better than Boise, but y'all definitely beat the mess out of them.

Ole Miss beat 2 teams that were ranked #1 in a season.

Let's be real here--this is a team that, not for injuries, most likely would have been 11-1, and an SEC champion.

Georgia lost to a bad South Carolina team, got railroaded by an awful Florida team, and then beaten at home by Georgia Tech (who, I believe is actually a pretty sound team and by far the 'best loss.')

It's really not that complicated.

We are both 9-3 in similar situations: losses to 3 inferior teams

However, our wins are better than yalls, and our losses are better than yalls, thus the higher ranking.

The main reason for the higher ranking though is Laramy Tunsil plays for our football team.

Because they beat two good teams this year.

Can we put a pin in this one? No one is really sure why the original post was made. Anyone who watches college football knows why ole miss is ranked higher.

To ask a probably stupid question... why do people keep mentioning Tunsil?

I'm guessing because they took him from us? Not sure how it is relevant to anything.

Because a lot of Georgia fans still get buttmad over him, because we cheat and Richt does things the right way.

Obviously one fanbase is still focused on the incident. And it isn't UGA.
