Because Georgia lost more recently and the committee, despite its stated position, is just as bad as the polls were when it comes to the "what have you done for me lately" mentality.

I mean, this is the root of the issue behind the LSU/USC debacle in 2003. LSU lost last. That's the only reason we were behind those frickers to begin with. At no point did any human stop and take an objective look at the situation. They just drop the teams that lose, and move the other teams up in order.

The refs helped Ole Miss beat Alabama.

You apparently missed the no-call on the face mask right before the half that resulted in an Alabama td.

Were they better than Georgia when Arkansas trounced them 30-0.

Arkansas, a team Georgia beat so bad in the first half that they couldn't focus in the 2nd half.

UGA had Arkansas down 38-7 at half.

Because they played the 3rd hardest schedule in the US. 10 of their opponents are playing in bowl games including non conference opponents such as memphis, boise state and ULL. because they beat Alabama and Miss State , both of which were ranked # 1 at one time. look at the sagarin ratings or the massey ratings (both computer ratings). they are way ahead of Georgia. get over it. Ole Miss would kick your arse.

They have the exact same record as Georgia, but Georgia absolutely destroyed 2 of the teams they lost to.

Wins
Ole Miss: 9
Georgia: 9

Record against top 10:
Ole Miss: 2-0
Georgia: 0-0

Record against top 25:
Ole Miss: 3-2
Georgia: 2-1

Wins over conference champs:
Ole Miss: 3
Georgia: 0

Losses to 6 win teams:
Ole Miss: 1
Georgia: 2

Record against bowl eligible teams:
Ole Miss: 7-3
Georgia: 5-3

Hope this helps!

I would rather play TCU than Baylor. Bryce Petty is the truth.

I would rather be playing Baylor than TCU. TCU is less likely to still be sulking come bowl time. And other teams like West Virginia have shown that once you rattle Petty, his accuracy drops dramatically.

UGA has been the most over-ranked team for what, a decade running?

I don't think Ole Miss is better but who cares at this point? Both are 9-3 and both shat the bed multiple times this season. Let Ole Miss have their shine with their whopping 9-3 season. It's something they have only done 3 times within the last 20 years.

When we play to our potential, we probably look like the better team because we have blown out a couple good teams. But Ole Miss has the best win in the country and another win that is better than our best win. Those two quality wins definitely put them in the top 10 IMO. Their best wins are better than ours, and their losses are slightly better. That's why they deserved to be ranked higher.

You get it. Quality of resume. All Georgia had to do was beat Georgia Tech, and they'd be in the peach bowl.

I must say as a newbie to the board and the SEC... Georgia bitches and moans about everything. Feels like conversing with a K-State fan.....

Yes you destroyed Missouri, but beat a mediocre USC and FLA and stop gripping to us...

I am done....

Because we have beaten 3 playoff committee bowl teams. What's UGAs best win? Serious question.

That's because they blow it every year. All UGA had to do was beat either South Carolina or Florida to win the east. They blew it. All they had to do to get to an NY6 bowl was beat GT... and they blew it.

know it is basically the equivalent of a BCS bowl now, but I still wouldn't consider the Peach Bowl a great bowl game. This is especially true for Georgia. Most Georgia fans and players could go to Atlanta almost any day

What's make it "not a great bowl game" ? You're viewing it as the old Peach bowl. What makes a bowl great is the team selection it has and the Peach bowl will have the elite selections.

Same as people need to get over the Pool of 6 bowls and calling them not even because they are.
