Believe it or not, he is actually more relaxed than he use to be.
I think a lot of that has to do with fanbases, which influence local call-in, luncheons, media events, etc. He was, and never would be, tolerant with the Psycho part of our fanbase. Coach Miles could care less what they think.

He's a better coach now than he was back then and it's easier to win at Bama than it is to win at LSU. I mean, LSU had three winning seasons from 1989-1999. They hadn't been to a New Year's Day bowl game since the mid '80s. It takes time to instill a winning culture in a program that was down for so long.

He's a much better coach now. Not to mention his timing on everything he has done at Alabama is unreal. Not trying to take away from him being the best coach in college football, but he damn sure it lucky too.
I'm not sure I understand this.
He has had to deal with the best Florida teams, perhaps ever. The best LSU teams, perhaps ever. Auburn recruiting at its highest level, perhaps ever - all while rebuilding Bama's image as a national team.
I am probably misunderstanding what you are trying to say, so maybe you could explain it better.

Why is Nick Saban Much More Successful At Bama
than he was at LSU?
Let's see if he can win without Barrett Jones. You do realize that Saban was 7-6 without Jones in 2007, he redshirted in 2008 and has started since.
The question should be, can Saban win without Jones.

CLM also (exchange UA for LSU). Hopefully he'll get due credit from his own at some point.

Nick Saban was already a name brand when he came to Bama. He was a nobody when he went to LSU. A big reason why he had the #1 recruiting class in his first season at Bama.
Actually the state of Alabama had an insane crop of in-state talent that year (Mark Barron, Julio Jones, Marcel Dareus, Courtney Upshaw, Robert Lester) and Tuberville had basically stopped recruiting by then. It was a perfect storm for instant success.

That was pretty good.

B/C it's the Bama factor. Any coach should be better at Bama than anywhere else that is more inferior.

Reppin your segment of the fanbase well, keep posting.

You might not believe it but he has mellowed out since he arrived. You don't see it at the games but outside the stadium he is much more loose. When he arrived he was a wound up mess. After he won his first NC something changed with him.

Finally someone recognized the key to Saban's success.

Hell, even Dubose and Shula had a ten win season at UA.

Well winning the national title last year was mainly luck if you think about it. You really had no business playing us again, regardless of opinion. But Nick came up in the clutch and won. Not in his control. Also, he has had the easiest OOC schedule and has played all of the tough eastern division opponents at the perfect time. But again, none of this is in Nick Saban's control, nor does it have to do with how good of a coach he is. But Les had similar luck in 07, but it came around to bite him in the arse. Nick's karma can only get here sooner

He also grossly mismanaged the first half of the 2009 championship game, but benefitted from McCoy getting hurt. I don't know if Bama wins that game with McCoy playing.
