I've seen People on Florida's 247 saying winning this game will be the catalyst to propel them back to national prominence ( )

They're also honoring the 2008 national criminal championship team
"breaking out new cleats" and maybe the white helmets!!
Mullen is also begging the students to be loud and for regular fans to show up

Meanwhile, this is probably only the ~4th biggest game of LSU's season. But it is still nice to know the Gators think so highly of the Tigers

Let them have their Super Bowl, if they don’t lose as badly as Miami they’ll get to claim 2nd best team in Florida.

Gators have a while to go but this would obviously get them going in the right direction which they are desperate for.

Maybe because florida hasn't been relevant in some time. This is a big game for them

Very true, but LSU fans are hyping their team up like crazy.

Same thing every year.

Umm, hey dumbass. LSU has beaten two top 10 teams. Why is this hard to understand?

1) Maybe you should ask the people on 247?
2) It was 10 years ago and Tim Tebow is only going to be in town on a game the SEC Network decides to do their gameday show.
3) New cleats and white helmets happen all the time.
4) Mullen has been trying to rally the troops since the day he was hired.

If anything, this is LSU's superbowl. They are maybe 4th on UF's list after UGa, FSU and TennerC.

Huh?

It's LSU. We'll play you again next year. And after... And after.

Just another SEC game. Nothing more that that.

Inducting Tebow into the Ring of Honor and honoring the 2008 title team was planned for this game a long time ago. We had no way of knowing LSU would be a top five team back then.

We have a weak home schedule this year and to LSU’s credit, they are far and away the best team that will visit the Swamp this season. Mullen has been trying to get the fan base excited again since he got here.

Call it our super bowl if it makes you feel special. It probably is the super bowl of our home schedule this year.

Why is LSU pretending like Florida is acting like this is a big game?

Unlike LSU, Florida has actually been to Atlanta in the last 6 years.

Well it's a big game in a lot of ways.

UF wants it's identity as a top team back. We've had bad coaching for almost a decade. So we want to see our team face some of the better teams to see where we measure up.

This year is a growing year. Beating LSU would mean we are far ahead of schedule, and should strike a pretty decent dose of fear back into the SEC that Mullen is dangerous here.

A blow out means we have a long way to go.

A battle till the end means we aren't there yet, but progress clearly is.

So it's key as a benchmark to see where UF is right now basically.

Plus...frick LSU

I mean, it’s their biggest home game in a good while. A top 5 LSU against a ranked for the first time in a long time UF. Two Big 6 teams playing their annual game with SEC and national aspirations still in tact.

Not sure what’s so hard to understand....
