All jokes aside, Mullen has grinded his arse off as Miss St. I dont think Saban would have a better record in Starkville. If he did, max 1 game a year. Meyer or Miles, dont see them doing better either. Solid coach.

He's the next UGA coach if Richt becomes a pastor.

Being in the SEC makes State a better job. Va Tech isn't paying Mullen 4 million a year.

Mullen has done a great job

But come on. I think it's safe to assume Saban would turn ms st into national champs

Anyone remember the 90s? Or how lsu made Saban and he wouldn't be great there?

1) He is a proven .500 coach in a power 5 league. So was Mike Riley who is now at Nebraska. See how thats going. Why take a chance

3) His best win ever is over an 8-5 Auburn team that lost their bowl game? Doesnt impress

2) He lost the only decent bowl game State has ever been to, to Georgia Tech, after being the number 1 team in the country and thus dropping the last 3 of 4. If losing to Georgia Tech is the sign of a hot commodity Richt should be there too

Mississippi State grads earn more than OM grads.

To say that Ole Miss is a better school makes you look like a fool to educated people that are in the know.

I've known more people that hold degrees from Ole Miss than State. Some of them couldn't pass the ASVAB test if they took it today.

Ole Miss coaching job = Miss State coaching job

Get real, dude.

Lol. Yeah, just like he did Michigan State. Dinardo beat thst arse for crying out loud. LSU made Saban and vice versa. It was a symbiotic relationship.

I have heard that he isn't the easiest guy to be around. Can anyone speak more ab that?

Cuz he's not. He walked in the first day and called outthe entire athletic department staff like a boss. And it worked. Nick saban isnt easy to work for either.

Yalls lower expectations make it a better job. Who the hell knows what Virginia Tech fans will expect after Beamer.

In seven years he is below .500 in the SEC. He is below .400 against the SECW. How does that translate into a roaring success? He has just taken a cellar dweller up to mediocrity status.

I agree. He's seems to be a first class act. Maybe he'll end up at UT or Georgia. However, I don't want him to go to UT because he's too good a guy and that place is really messed up right now.
