Bama could be the most overrated team in CFB this year. Logical Bama fans know this. They will be good but are replacing way too much on offense and have depth issues at key positions of youth as well.

To answer directly, the media has a rock hard boner for NS. Once you win 2 titles the media starts blowing you. Ask Urban Meyer.

Returning Offensive Starters

Trent Richardson (he's considered a starter)
Marquis Maze
Darius Hanks
Michael Williams
Barret Jones
William Vlachos
D.J. Fluker
Chance Warmack

have depth issues at key positions of youth as well

What does that even mean? Did you mean to say too much youth in key positions? If you did, can you tell us what those positions are?

1. Bama has what will be one of the top offensive lines in the country.

Run blocking yes. Pass blocking, not so much. Gave up the third most sacks in the SEC last year and are replacing their LT.

2. Heisman candidate RB, and good backups.

Let's see how well TR does as the main man before we anoint him, ok? And as far as talented backups...not really. I'd actually say the Tide is thin at RB this year.

3. Return 9 of 11 on defense and will be top 10 in the country in just about every defensive category.

Last year's Tide defense was in the middle of the pack in the conference in sacks and near the bottom in tackles for loss, ahead of only Kentucky. And they lost their best DL pass rusher from last year in Dareus, and are thin depth-wise on DL this year.

Don't get me wrong, I expect the Tide to have a good team. I just don't see them finishing as high as projected, and they might not be as good a team as last year's.

Just sayin'

Bama has a pretty good team. But so does Arkansas, LSU, Miss State (remains to be seen about the others). But Bama also gets bonus points just because they are Bama.

Because I'm grilling, and need to go put my steak on the fire, I'm not going to take time to correct your ignorance. But, get back to me later in the year and point out where I was wrong.

Translation: I got nothing. I quoted actual stats from last year. Hard to argue with those. As far as my opinions, they are 100% as correct as yours right now.

Meaning we'll see.

A lot of it is because we are Alabama and Nick Saban is our coach. That alone puts us above most teams in the SEC. Just being honest, the media has always loved us when we are playing well.

I didn't see many actual stats, but yes, you were talking about last year.

Google is your friend, and try and find where I was wrong. Take your time.

And yes, that was last year, but in each case, you lost someone who was a starter on OL and DL. it remains to be seen if you improve, stay the same, or regress.

Like I said, we'll see. Any opinion now is as good as any other this time of year.

Done here.

They have alot of talent and some questions with a quality coach. This is true with a couple of SEC teams. Bama, LSU, USC and maybe Florida and Georgia all have the talent to match or surpass Bama's roster. It's a pre season poll, it didn't do Bama much good last year. It's so close injuries, mistakes and breaks will make the difference as usual.

OK Capstone, Florida and Georgia have no talent compared to Bama. I'm sorry, like I give a shite about them anyway.

Bama is a top 5 team. End of story. I'm more worried about them than anyone else, even with the schedule we have. They have sick depth and beasts just like we do.
