It's cray how you weren't able to overcome us and assume big brother role in our relationship. Worst Bama run ever and less than 10 years later we are right back holding the crystal trophy again.

Well, looks like I was mistaken. AU has NEVER lost at least 6 games in 4/5 years.

Looks like AU has NEVER been as bad over a 5 year stretch as Bama was right before saban.

Which school is older and larger? That is the question.

That is just in your mind. I consider Bama inferior to AU and have enjoyed a winning record against Bama most of the years I have been alive.

I would call you guys our lil bro, but yall are not close to worthy ofthat title.

Halfwit 4th cousin and that might be generous.

It has been a decade since UGA had back to back AP top ten finishes.
Why use the AP??? The Coaches poll was the standard for the BCS & UGA finished top 10 in '07 & '08...

AU had a larger student body for a long time until Bama lowered their admission standards to try and get warm bodies.

I'd say that the older and larger school is usually the "big brother", even though I'd never use that term myself because I'm not a douchebag.

The halfwit 4th cousin has as many titles since August 2011 as AU does ever. Ouch.

Being new to the SEC I don't really know the history, but I'm curious if there's a correlation between great years for Auburn and down years for Alabama?

Actually very much the reverse.

In the past 10 years, Auburn has beaten Bama 6 times and 3 of those times Bama's team won 10 games or more.

In the past 10 years, Bama has beaten Auburn 4 times and the best record of any Auburn team in those Bama victories was 8 wins.

The last time Bama beat an Auburn team that won 9 games or more was 1994.

In general, Auburn can beat Bama at any time.

Bama, however, can only beat average to bad Auburn teams.

And yet somehow Alabama has a healthy lead in the series overall.

According to your logic that means Auburn sucks most of the time.

This is kind of strange. They don't do the traditional "build up" like most programs. They just appear, go ham, then wander off back into obscurity. It's pretty remarkable when you think about it.

Nope, you just had the greatest coach in college football history for about 25 years and he beat us like a red-headed step-child.

Outside of that one singular era? Not even close.

Not exactly. bear owned our arse. The truth is....Auburn won more games before bear....Auburn won more games after bear......Auburn struggled to beat bear. That is where your "hefty lead" comes from.

Sorta funny how this thread has backfired on the gumps.

Funnier that most gumps posting here have probably seen AU win more iron bowls than bama as well.

wait, so in order for it to be "not even close" you have to omit over 2 decades?
