People like you should be strung up and mocked on the drill field in the middle of campus for all to see.

There can't be anything I hate worse than to see you people walking around at our University with a fricking Alabama shirt on, or any other school for that matter. It's a fricking disgrace.

So you both went to MSU but chose to root for Alabama because they win more football games. At least you are honest about it.

He may have gone to MSU because they offered a major that Alabama didn't. He is a bandwagon fan, but at least he is honest about it.

Parents went to and met at Mizzou. Grandfather was a professor at Mizzou. Both my brother and I graduated from Mizzou. I've been a lifelong fan since my grandfather took me to basketball and football games since as far back as I can remember.

This. I know a guy like this, graduated from UGA and is a die hard Tech fan. Just the worst.

What if your kids go to a rival school? Buddy of mines wife went to au and their kids go to Bama. She is now a Bama fan. Also have opposite neighbor grew up a fan and went to Bama now a huge boog cause her husband went there

I was an Alabama fan long before I set foot on MSU's campus. Going to school there didn't suddenly convert 18 years of screaming at the top of my lungs.

My dad simply didn't care that much about football until he met my mom.

I don't know why people get so offended when others question their fandom.

Its legitimate to you, that is all that matters.

I grew up cheering for Michigan and Texas A&M because my mom and dad matriculated through those institutions, respectively.

And, of course, I graduated from TAMU as well.

Despite being born in BR I was not raised a LSU fan. My mom was a graduate of Southern. LSU was mostly awful though for half of my childhood, so I didn't care. I caught on with LSU after the 2001 season.

Grandparents on one side didn't really watch football. The other side are huge Bama fans. Dad went to and graduated from AU. Mom grew up an Alabama fan but converted to Auburn. I grew up loving Auburn since the first time I went to a game when I was 5. I'm currently at Auburn. I have some Uncles and Aunts that are Bama fans. My family is pretty evenly split.

FWIW, I didn't follow sports much back then as well. Watching sports at that time didn't appeal to me as much as playing them.

I grew up in Hickory and went to HHS. Raised a Gamecock fan due to my Dad graduating from there and him being a season ticket holder.

Went to UNC and became an avid Tar Heel football fan during my first game in Kenan Stadium.

So you only like Alabama more than State solely because of football? That's pretty damn pathetic. Do you support all Alabama athletics or just football?

ETA: why didn't you just go to Alabama?
