No, it's because he can't have the advantage of having better players than everyone else in the NFL.

Saban left the NFL because he knew that his time was limited. He figured out early, that unlike his College Teams, you can not win big with a shitty QB. He has never been able to develop QBs, even it the Pros.

The NFL used to be Saban's dream. Maybe he has moved on from it.

While a viable possibility, in the case of Coach Saban this is not the case. With the Dolphins, he answered to no one, not even the owner. It was the reason he chose to join the Dolphins over any other offer that he had heard up to that point. In Miami he had 100% total control of everything

Except his choice of quarterbacks.

I'm sorry, what exactly do I fear? If you think it is Saban leaving then...

The guy is gonna most likely retire before too much longer... I just hope he goes out on top.

Now since we are talking about his Miami days, in your opinion, what is the more attractive job... The U or the Dolphins? Both get about as many fans as you'd see for sale at the Home Depot and both are stuck in a basketball town. Oh LeBron's gone? Nix that one. I guess Miami isn't the luxurious spot as it once was. He chose Bama for more than just control of the team. He is getting exactly what he wanted. A legacy, a dynasty, and doing it in the toughest division in football. Imagine if he was coaching in the East? He'd have 12 win seasons every year. Hell he damn near has that now.

Well, you are not correct at all.

Saban had total control with the dolphins. He was essentially the GM and coach. Wayne let him run the show 100%. Saban did not answer to anyone when he was here.

Now, I'll give you the real reason as stated by saban himself. Saban preferred the recruiting model in college. He was frustrated with not being able to gain an advantage personell wise through the draft. He realized his strengths didn't translate in the pros and he couldn't win in the pros.

Yeah really. He came back to college because he knew he could have the best players on the field 11 out of 12 games. You don't prove how good of a coach you are at a school like Bama or Ohio State. Great recruiter but not great coach.

This. How is this being dismissed by people? No one can claim he had total control, it is well documented.

What are you babbling about? He wanted Brees, the doctor recommended against it, Saban listened to the doctor. It was still sabans decision.
