Nothing screams tradition like Baylor and TCU being the top teams in Texas.

The SEC used to have tradition. Then the $ came along. There shouldn't be a football conference that doesn't play round robin during the regular season.
You want things to go back to the old, old school huh? The Big 8, SWC and all huh?

Ole Miss ever been to Atlanta? Or even been close? Serious question

Don't ever question our ability to get close to doing something. "Close" is our middle name sir

we would rather have the off week

LSU having a bye on Halloween weekend is a very, very recent development though. The Magnolia Bowl stopped being played on Halloween weekend well before that. Didn't LSU play Tulane a few years back the last time that Halloween fell on a Saturday?

I miss our Halloween slot with Tennessee.

Remember the uniforms they brought out under Kiffin?

Traditional games are very important to the SEC unless you're a school not named Alabama.

Armegis Spearman as the Ultimate Warrior in 1998 game

Epic catch by Cory Peterson after the ball was tipped in air with his back on the ground.

Why not? Have a true conference champ and move on from there. No reason why Alabama should have to beat UGA when State only has to beat Kentucky.

Not well with a gutless commissioner. The obvious answer from your question is that 14 team conferences are too big for football. Of course, that train has already left the station.

Congrats on your divisional title that was nearly 2 decades ago. That's your program highlight. I'll take our history in the 50's and 60's over an 8-5 divisional championship season that ended with a slaughter in the Cotton Bowl
