So by using your theory, Bobby Petrino is a bad coach because he had a losing career record against Sylvester Croom

His BCS bowl appearance and multiple wins over LSU, aTm, and Auburn more than make up for one bad loss.

Petrino never lost to a lowly C-USA team, all this losses can be attributed to BCS conference teams.

I think he's a damn good coach. I don't think people realize how tough it is to load up a team with recruits that has been down for years. I hope he sticks around in Starkville for a while because I see great things in their future with him at the helm.

The team he beat is still setting school records for shittyness.

It really was an impressive win.

because when State beats someone, that team automatically becomes a down team.

He seems like a decent coach. He just hasn't done anything yet for anyone to take real notice. What you can say for his teams is that he beats the weak teams on the schedule and loses to the good teams. For MSU, that's good but it's nothing to get that excited about. Maybe this year will be different.

So if you are a Mississippi State Alum/Booster what more do you want from Mullen? Do you really think he should have beat Bama and LSU considering how good they have been the last 3 years.

Other schools in the division have been able to do it.

Mullen hasn't been able to beat any of those teams, he did beat the current 1-5 Auburn squad like almost everyone else on their schedule.

Even Nick Saban would give up trying to turn State into a powerhouse

You know how stupid the argument that he' doesnt have the players, your coach does' is?

Miles recruits those players you d bag. He gets great players and thats part of what make him a good coach.

Mullen gets mediocrity.
