Umm, a literate populace?

You go Mississippi! Keep slugging it out with Alabama for that coveted 49th spot in the national education rankings...

LOLOLOLOL, Kentucky is about as back woods as Mississippi/Tennessee/Alabama. That's why they aren't yankees.

Have you been to southern Missouri. Hell they have a tourist resort that caters to backwoods people....Branson,MO. If the Ozarks aren't backwoods then I don't know what backwoods mean. If you have a "Dukes Of Hazzards" museum place in your town that sells a lot of confederate flags, then you are backwoods.

ETA: See those lil hills on my map in the Sig pic, that's the backwoods, hillbilly, country part of the state.

the actual funny thing is that kansas fans call missouri the slavers for their role in all of this and the SEC gives missouri shite for being yankees.

True. You could travel from Mobile, Alabama to just south of Cincinnati with a southern accent and everybody would understand you.
