Last year we had the greatest defense to ever step on a CF field and only needed AJ to play decent without turning it over. This year's defense is no where near as good so AJ needs to have a good game against UGA to secure a win. Otherwise its a toss up. If AJ is on his game then it won't be close. That crap about UGA wanting it more is nuts. Bama loves the spotlight of championships. We always come to play in those games. And the chance to beatdown ND will have us smelling blood.

UA's defense has weakened against the pass. UGA has a very good pass offense with one of the best QBs in the nation. They have a solid running game as well.

UGA will be, and should be, the underdog in this but UA is not an unbeatable team this season. They have lost and there are several teams around CFB that on the right day could beat UA soundly.

Maybe, just maybe it's because Georgia is in the SECCG while the "flagship" is sitting watching at home.

I'm a big Bama fan but I can admit that this year's team is not as good as last year's. The secondary has shown that it can be abused at times. If Murray is on his game and the defense can limit Bama's run, UGA defintely has a chance.

I guess we shouldn't bother to show up at all. Everyone knows that the underdog always loses. UGA is clearly so far inferior to big bad bama that there is literally 0 chance of winning.

Btw, make sure you don't choke on bama's d

One thing is for sure. The way it stands right now UGA will have the chance to put up or shut up. Get by G.Tech & Bama and you are there. I bet half of the fans are estatic and the other half dread the trip.

Let's take a look here. # of SEC championships in the Champ Game era:

Georgia: 2
Arkansas: 0

Yeah, I'd say they have a better chance than you guys would if you were in it.

Besides, after the shellacking they got last year, they will be MORE motivated than Bama.

Bama has shown they are vulnerable on defense this year. Also, Georgia has a pretty good defense as well. If the Bulldogs can get good pass protection and let Murray take some shots down field, they have a great shot. After seeing LSU and Texas A&M cause problems for Bama's defense, I think that Richt has no choice but to attack all game long.

They have only 1 decent win, which was marginal against a team with 6, yes 6, turnovers.

Murray also threw 3 INTs in the first half. One from the 9 yard line. Turnovers happen, especially against a good defense like Georgia.

People think this is a national championship caliber team?

This year? Maybe. Neither Georgia nor Bama look like a NC team if you compare them to past years, though.

I wouldn't assume that this defense is that same as it was at the beginning of the year. It was completely out of synch, especially in the secondary with the suspensions. They are now a pretty formidable secondary to go along with a pretty good pass rush. They will have to be on their game to stop the run, but same goes for Bama- whose pass rush has been a bit pedestrian this year. Basically, this game will come down to OLs. UGA's is not as good as Bama's, but if they play their best game, then UGA has the weapons to win the game. I do like the look with Gates in a Guard and Beard at LT. It has worked much better than Gates at LT.

Told a friend earlier in the year a team that attacked the UA defense all game long and took shots down field would beat them soundly, I still stand by that statement. A team that tries to play Nick's game of ball control will lose everytime, maybe a close loss but still a loss. That's why I think Oregon would give UA all they wanted this year.

This guy is a Bama fan. He's using the Hogs logo as cover to talk shite and hide his homerism.

this has been the case every season of Nick Saban's career, even at LSU. The difference is that this year, Bama is not getting to the QB like in the past. If Murray can not pull a Jarrett Lee, he could have a huge game.

while were talking about schedules, sure we didn't play aTm, AL or LSU from the west, but AL didn't play Fl, SCe or UGA from the east.

yes, the pussie schedules prevail again.

I will be rooting for the Dawgs to win if Bama makes it. On that note, War Eagle.

Now I have to go take a shower.

If Mark Richt was to pull off the win in Atlanta (also assumes win over GT) would it be one of the quickest turn arounds from hot seat to entrenched coach? How could UGA get rid of him after leading the team into the BCS game?

I would say UGA is 1-1 against decent teams, Bammer i would put at 4-1.

I'd love to see your list of 4 "decent" teams bama has beaten.

I think UGA can definitely offer a great challenge to Bama. Having the talent and executing are two different things. If Georgia executes than they can compete with Bama. Should be a good game to watch.
