I think LSU fans are just happy that we have something else in the passing game besides throw it deep outsides the hashes.

Even if Alabama does a good job stopping the run, LSU might throw a short crossing pattern or a intermediate in-route or a pass to a TE. I hate to say it, but this is kinda ground-breaking compared to our last few offenses.

As in the thread about optimism: Don't confuse confidence, either, with message board bravado.

So if you still lose even without Les what will the talking points be?

Ummmmm....we lost? I'm pretty sure we won't go on some 20 year winning streak because Les is no longer here. I was only trying to point out to his point of having no offense, only that but I'm not surprised I had to point that out to you.

We have a better defense than any of those teams...we don't have to light up the scoreboard to win

People seem to forget but even with Miles, without devine intervention and a horrible personal foul call with 2 minutes left, we would have beaten Alabama the last two times in BR.

and you forgot a trapped pass that was ruled a catch and wasn't reviewed (by the Alabama grads-I mean officials) immediately before the game tying field goal to send the game into OT...

You've definitely opened it up and looked better on O after the coaching change. No doubt about that. I'm just withholding judgment on how much of that improvement is due to turning a corner vs how much is due to playing Mizzou (who gave up a boatload to MTSU), So Miss (who gave up a boatload to Texas San Antonio), and Ole Miss (who gave up a ton to errbody).

We'll know if you truly turned a corner this weekend.

Yep, and that's a big reason for a lot of the disdain and generalizations that gets thrown back, have to becuase the offenders have run back to the safety of the rant.

Yep, but then the rant is the main board, and to those guys this board is like their back yard. Sometimes they just want to go out back and piss on a tree.

I just wish more posters on here would see it for what it is and not generalize about the whole fan base.

I don't think that many fans are confident LSU will win, they are confident that LSU CAN win. Slight difference.

They are confident they will win. Its the same song every year. "Just throw the ball deep on Bama, set up Fournette and boom"

I hear ya on the overgeneralizarion but needs to be for all fan bases. Bama fans get it the worst (duh, we have some of the worst of the worst-posted it first)

But the rantards run back to their safe Space so the regs are the only one that get smacked back. Not fair but it ain't gonna change.

I don't take this seriously, like to flame some, talk ball when the opportunity presents, goof off etc. Some just get soon damn personal with it, it's kinda scary

frick it. Tell them to cancel the game. It's over. I mean, why don't they just fedex the title trophy to tuscaloosa now so the fans can save money by not going to any more games this season. Pack it up- Nothing to see here people.

If that's the answer, then fine

Oh thank god my support of my team is "fine" with BHMKyle from SEC rant dot com. Whew!

But it seems the majority of LSU fans are far past that. Instead of "thinking we have a chance to win" its more of a "can't wait till be totally destroy the #1 team in the country by 20+ points."

Oh ok, so you're a dumbass. That's fine.

Look I get it, those were not world beaters on defense. I will go way out on a limb here and say we wouldn't have put up those numbers with Miles running the show. Yes we will all learn here soon enough this coming Saturday

Going back to the Game of the Century in 2011, LSU has averaged just 249 total yards in their six games against Alabama.
Ok, so going back to that game, they have played only twice at home

One of those losses they were leading with 51 seconds left in the game.

The second loss they were leading with 3 seconds left in the game.

Crazy they would think they have a solid chance of winning

The ones that are overly confident we will win, or even win big, are misinformed or just plain stupid

I'm excited about a huge night game in DV, some different looks and an improved team under O, and the chance to pull the upset. We won't be getting blown out Saturday night like we may have under Les
