Bad kid. Was involved in a B&E case were two of his friends got shot. I think it speaks more to how garbage the rest of your QBs are if Kelly is No.2.
didn't you have a player get arrested for domestic violence today?
now the shut the frick up

What in the actual frick does led look for in a qb?
Led probably watched Kelley take 5 sacks, fumble once and throw 3 INTs against Led's son's team and figured Kelley wasn't worth an SEC offer.

AA has to prove himself to not lose it to this kid week 8 or later. He will start next year at some point. Enos was high on this kid from the jump. It's HIS QB. He recruited and think he will fit in his scheme. Allen has to prove it in a game, he's as unproven as any QB. Good pedigree and stats so only time will tell

Impossible, the Arky fans keep saying on the recruiting board in Akial Byers thread how they only recruit Saints, only schools like Alabama and USC recruit kids with character problems. They are above Alabama, I know because they preach it.

Bob's an LSU fan. Must have lost a bet or something.

Bielema said Kelley might be the best QB he has ever signed. Enos is infatuated with him too. Good chance he starts year after next when Allen leaves. I was pretty surprised to see him battling for the #2 spot already over so many highly ranked guys.
He's pretty raw but you can't teach his size and arm strength.

If you have character issues you dont get recruited to Arkansas period...if Kelly did something in the past the staff knows it, feels good about its resolution and you can rest assured that shite is put to bed and wont happen in the future. You can mock it all you want but CBB dont play that shite.

Austin's job is not in jeopardy and I hope Kelly doesn't play next year other than garbage time, because if so it will be due to injury.

Dude, way too early

Watched that kid play many times here in Lafayette. If he gets his mind together and matures he's going to be one hell of a qb and thorn in many a people's side. The kid is huge, has a cannon and can take the hits. after what happen to him and all the drama, court, bad publicity he got for years even if lsu offered he wasn't going to go. He and Bellamy from STM are heading out of state to continue their sports careers

I think he was worth the offer with his potential, Kelly is tall, good speed and a decent arm along with a athletic background. I liked that he played basketball and I believe he will develop into a SEC star similar to Zac Prescott.
Cannot blame LSU for not offering, Kelly had some off the field issues I believe turned their heads away from him.
There is no crystal ball and this may or not come back to haunt LSU.
Question to ask if LSU had offered Kelly would he have signed? Maybe not

Headcase in high school, and wasnt good enough to warrant the offer. His only other P5 offers were Oklahoma State and Kentucky.

He did choose to play at Arkansas so you can already tell he makes questionable decisions.

How's your cousin doing at south Alabama since he had the Arkansas offer he deserved pulled by Bert.
Should be blowing up the sunbelt since he was sec talent in your eyes.

I assure you that in two years time (he isn't going to over take Austin Allen's position), this statement will seem ridiculous. "Wasn't good enough to warrant the offer". He is the number 2 quarterback for Arkansas right now. Will most likely red-shirt, but if Austin were to go down for multiple games, they would throw Kelley in there.
As far as Ricky Town goes, apparently he just hasn't committed himself to learn the playbook. He has screwed up the playcall multiple times in camp this year, and is now at the bottom of the depth chart working with the developmental group. I doubt he cuts and runs though. I think he's just burnt out on football and doesn't care. He is away from his overbearing father, and he is just using the schollie to get his education. At least that's my guess. I doubt we ever see Ricky Town take a single snap.
ETA: Also, I am not too familiar with what happened that caused him and his friends to be shot that night, but it was either that those kids were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, or that shite is buried in his past. If there were any lingering issues with the kid, he wouldn't be playing at Arkansas. I guess his friend was shot dead right next to him, and Kelley himself still has a slug in his leg.

Jesus christ at the Arkansas fans in this thread. How much further can your heads go up your assessment?

He is a few weeks into fall camp, just because he's your #2 QB doesn't mean he was some super huge steal out of high school. Again, he never performed that great in camp settings and had a few issues that A LOT of teams didn't go after him. He is very raw and the best thing you can say about is he's got a rocket arm, but is a statue in the pocket, so better have an elite OL blocking for him when he does play.

So on one hand you're sitting here saying Kelley being the #2 QB means he's some great 3-star gem yet here you're saying he beat out a guy who has been trash and cant grasp things. You see where some of might be throwing the BS flag? You realize being #2 on the depth chart at Arkansas doesnt mean a thing right now, right? Austin Allen may be trash much like Brandon Allen was when he got started.
