That's what I thought. Carry on.

Applewhite was pretty in over his head. He didn't have a lot of feel for the game and his playcalling was incredibly erratic. He'd only been a play caller for 1 year at that point.

I'm sure he is much more experienced and better now.

You've been masking your pain with emojis throughout this thread. Very sad. A once proud fanbase, relegated to insecurity shite talk and laughing emojis.

It's okay, man. I sat through every home game of the Mike DuBose and Mike Shula eras. It will get better. Maybe.

It's certainly enjoyable. Not that I'd expect Tennessee or LSU fans to be able to relate to shite talking founded in reality.

I'm laughing because you're so oblivious to your insecurity.

A poster literally said the OC Saban essentially fired was too inexperienced for the job at the time and the first response was a gump attack.

Hey man, whatever makes you feel better. You know I don't judge you.

He and Saban didn't get along. Applewhite was too young and inexperienced.

Pretty much what I heard. Wasn't Applewhite's decision obviously, but after the country club atmosphere in Austin, Major was more than happy to move on.

Saban doesn't seem like he would have time for a greenhorn (pun intended?) that can't keep up.

tRant logic is fantastic.

Bama fans are, at all times, both insecure and arrogant. They are scared and over-confident. Nick Saban is an overbearing control freak and doesn't discipline his players.

I suppose parts of all of these things are true, but it sure makes it fun to watch other fanbases toss around labels

Did Saban want him to leave or did he leave on his own to go back to Texas?

He left the OC position at Bama for the RB coach position at Texas. Piece it together.
