This is such hogwash. The rant had an absolute melt down. There were like 4 posters trying to spin it positively.
For like three minutes until yall hired Coach O and then everyone was like "The new staff is a real upgrade over Chavis!"

Y'all seemed mighty proud of him til he left?
Chief was an upper echelon DC.......right up until the time he left for A&M. That's always the way it is when a coach is at and then leaves LSU. They go from great to less than mediocre in less than 24 hours.

Auburn is going to have one of their worst defense in years. They're in deep shite if Malzahn can't pull a serviceable quarterback out of his arse.

so you posted a thread when LSU was undefeated and #2 in the country?

well, yea. The coach O hire was and still was a great hire. Now to say the Steele/O combo was better than Chavis was just damage control and typical SEC ranting. Steele wasn't on anyone's short list after Chavis left.

cardboard has a hard time realizing that LSU fans are a bunch of thin skinned pussies who can't handle the kind of shite they dish out to others on a daily basis.
FIFY and yes I do realize that.

Go on the rant history of that day. If I cared enough, I could give you a bunch of threads (if chicken didn't delete them) that were all 10+ pages long talking about the sky falling.
Hell, I think I made like 5 of them. The Coaching Changes board was just as bad.

that's how it is with most fan bases. Y'all were all aboard the Gus bus for a long time, amirite? I'm sure when his time is done at AU he will be glorified.

If yall didn't see that letdown coming a mile away I don't know what to tell you. Either way being undefeated up until that point wasn't Steele's doing.

Chavis never wanted to be in Baton Rouge and didn't like living there. He checked out while there was still a game to be played which is hilarious.

don't let the posters on here fool you. most LSU fans were quite upset about the Steele situation. we had just witnessed a season in which our defense performed way different than normal. forget the stats; it was kind of fun watching our opponents score a bunch of points and requiring our high powered offense to match them. it kept all of the games interesting at least, even against our cupcakes.
so when we heard that Auburn stole the man responsible for this exciting defense and that we hired some guy that cares only about stopping the opponent from making first downs and scoring we were emotional as hell. boring.
Auburn is damn lucky. their games are gonna be so much fun this year.

We're letting Craig coach the QBs. He splits time with WRs and QBs.

He's going to give that Jeremy Johnson touch.

you always talk so badly about your family?
I'm just telling it to you like it is. No one was going to admit to the TAMU fan base that you took a good LSU coach and LSU replaced him with a dud. Welcome to the internet, where you should try being less offended and literal.

I guess a lot of people with Chavis' options would stay somewhere they hate for 6 years

No it wasn't.
Post the some threads the minute Steele was announced. If they still exist...

Aggies try to brag about something like facilities that we actually lead the SEC in:
"STFU Aggie, always bragging about stuff that doesn't matter."
LSU fans try to say Steele + ANYONE was an upgrade:
"A completely understandable bit of damage control in the classic Rant style."
It would be nice to see one of yall say just once "We were fricking wrong, we thought we were right but we were way fricking wrong. frick us for ever believing in _____"
Just once, just for the fun of something new.
