And yet, for all that, CBS choose to air the A&M/Bama game. My question is simple...why?

Two top ten teams, one of them is the premier program in the conference.

Also, everyone knows LSU no likey day games.

When LSU plays Bama, it will be in primetime as usual.

Alabama currently has arguably the biggest fanbase in America, so any chance they can put a big game with Alabama involved in the spotlight, they will do just that.
It would be the same way as any other undefeated team vs Bama. Bama's championship aspirations are on the line with another loss, so the entire southeast footprint will have their eyes on that game.

It makes plenty of sense that CBS chose this one, and no one is complaining. You're trying to make this something that it isn't

Probably because CBS has already broadcast Florida. IIRC, there's a limit to the number of times a single team can be featured by CBS.

While I don't really care either way. And the OP should've known the responses, at least someone replies with a logical answer.

Probably true

I wouldn't know. I can only read like 2 threads a day before my head hurts from how utterly fricking retarded this board is and I do something else with my time.

Do you really think Bama's program is far in front of LSU's that their games are more interesting to the general public even when they are playing nobodies, and even when they have a loss, then LSU games are, even when LSU is undefeated with a Heisman frontrunner and playing an undefeated Florida squad?

Yes.

I don't think that's right. A&M got the 2:30 CBS game 4 times in 2013.

They'll have lots of chances to cover Florida and LSU in the future, this might be the only chance they get to go to College Station this year.

Don't you guys actually have a better record during the day?

Admittedly, this could be because you play harder teams at night.

They've been to Tiger Stadium this year already, and this is A&M's most interesting home game.
