The max is 4 games. This decision had nothing to do restrictions.

Alabama is the best team in the nation. They'll be playing another top 10 team. Makes sense to me.

All parties involved got what they wanted.

Gay. I thought being second fiddle to LSU would finally work out for us and land us the night game. *sigh*

Ok I don't understand why both LSU and UF are happy about that. In my mind, for a major game, I hope for the 2:30 slot when on the road, and the non 2:30 slot when at home. Everybody knows night games are better for the home team. So why would FLORIDA be happy?
Edit: Sorry read the schedule wrong. Thought the game was in Florida. Ok but why would Florida be happy.

False. At A&M, we very much wanted and expected the night game. I'm honestly very surprised that CBS passed up the LSU/Florida game.

Probably because CBS has already broadcast Florida. IIRC, there's a limit to the number of times a single team can be featured by CBS.

I could of sworn I tuned into CBS for the UGA Bama game this past weekend.

Florida isn't that much of a draw...yet. Bama has far more interest than LSU. Aggy has a new stadium and is unbeaten.

They'll have LSU and Bama in primetime soon enough.

Because Alabama beat the crap out of Georgia and Verne and Garry love some bama and bama is probably the best team and want them on primetime and yall are undefeated but mostly because of bama.

Better question, how many more threads are you going to make about this same subject?

I think the max is actually 5 games which Alabama reached last year. IIRC, the games televised by CBS were Florida, Ole Miss, A&M, LSU and State.

How many more would you like me to make? This is the only one I've made so far. If you would like me to make multiple threads, I'm afraid I can't help you. That would be rude.

Bama is fricking why. A&M is just the side note.

Your AD doesn't have the balls or the give a frick to stand up for the best interests of LSU, so I doubt this happened

To answer the OP, Bama consistently brings higher ratings than anyone else, it was a no brainer
