Looks like holding to me.

I'm sure it does to you. Of course when a D lineman is getting blocked well and then does a spin move, the offensive lineman's hands/arms are going to come off the player and his force/momentum will cause him to fall forward and the D lineman ends up against the O linemans chest. There's your pic retard.

You probably never played football and don't understand that an Offensive lineman has to keep the D lineman from getting into his chest... has to keep him off.

Watch it at normal speed and there is no holding. Even a complete tard can see there was no holding.

It's holding because it was called holding.

THIS I cannot argue with. Was in fact holding. Let the record show Holding was called and a TD was taken off the board.

bama gambles a lot rushing the qb. they cause turnovers and score but they also give up passing yards to good teams. they are leaving their db's on an island. if the qb is mobile with good receivers, he's going to find open receivers. Alabama has been "lucky" to score on turnovers. (calm down - not saying they are not good) But different bounces and they have to move the ball across the field to score - it's a new game.

Tennessee will score. can they limit turnovers? if Alabama's defense doesn't score or set up easy scores tennesse can win.

The OL's left hand had a grip on the DL's jersey, which isn't a problem until he spins around. When he spun around, he didn't let go quick enough and that's what the ref saw. It didn't help that the DL fell down immediately following that, which made it look worse than it was.

No more, or no less, than the roughing the passer call that extended a scoring drive.

I sure did play(in high school). As a player I also knew not to hold right in front of the official. In fact he fell down because of the hold. Bret wanted to know why that official called it. He called it because it happened right in front of him. Just because a tv commentator doesn't agree with a call, doesn't mean it was bad call.

It was a spin move

His hands are inside the shoulder pads. Not his fault the defensive player turned away from the qb.

Dude... you almost wrote exactly how I feel as well. I don't think Vols are going to win but if Bama D doesn't score, this game will be much closer.

It's his fault he didn't let go in time. If you sense the guy going for a spin move, you need to let go and reposition yourself.

PUULLLEEEEAAAAASE....

Bama won and won easily but that was a shitty call. If that is holding then there needs to be a flag thrown on every single passing play.

Was it soft? Sure. But I can't fault the guy for calling it in real time when he can see the hold on the jersey and the defender go down as he tries to get by.

I thought it was a terrible call until they showed the replay from the ref's angle.

You guys are crying about the wrong call. Check this one out. This one was called a td. Does his knee look down to you?

they correctly called the facemask, but it shouldn't have been a td. How you going to get mad about bad calls in a three score game anyway?

The score "could" have been more than 3 scores if our defense hadn't fricked around at the end. Saban was so pissed, even walking of the field he had to calm himself so he could talk to the reporter. Hell, our defensive players were pissed as well.

I promise you they are all working on their deficiencies on defense from the Arky game and they will have them fixed by the time they hit Knoxville.

Too bad we have a qb that can't throw.
