The defense may actually be better this year or at least as good as last year. As far as your other 3 points, there is no way to know right now.

Bama is not losing 3 games. I can give you more than 4 reasons:

1) Their QB play has been a question mark at the beginning of the season for like 3 years now and it hasn't stopped them. Blake Sims looked like dogshit in their spring game and won a title.

2) While their defense may take a slight step back, at Bama that just means they might be the #3 defense as opposed to #1. It's not getting any easier to score on them. In addition, I really wish they could stop getting good juniors to come back for their senior year. They have a veteran senior at every level of their defense (Allen at DL, Foster at LB, Jackson at DB).

3) They have had plug and play RB's for years now. When you recruit as well as they do on the offensive line, you could put me at RB and I'd still get some yards every now and then. I guess since I mentioned OL here, I'll count this as 3a and 3b.

4) Deep WR core.

5) Front seven is still loaded. Touched on the veteran bit above, but good depth coming back outside of Williams, Foster, Allen, etc.

6) Who the frick is going to beat them? There are only 4 teams that can compete with them: OM, LSU, Tenn., and Aub. OM is revenge so I would think a loss is unlikely. Aub. is a rivalry game but they're probably going to struggle a bit next year with the QB situation. Tenn. and LSU probably have the best shot but it's hard to see them losing to both of them. It's impossible for me to see them losing 3 out of these 4 considering recent trends.

7) Most importantly, they have the GOAT coach on the sidelines.

Look, I'm tired of Bama being awesome as an LSU fan and just as a regular CFB fan, but you have to be objectively reasonable. Saban has created the most well-oiled machine in CFB history. It sucks, but it is what it is. Additionally, I hate it for Miles because if he wasn't coaching against Saban the last decade, he probably has 2-3 more titles. He'll just be remembered as a great, title-winning coach who couldn't get over the Bama/Saban hump instead of being engraved into the CFB Mt. Rushmore.

hand and tomlinson had ZERO starts last year.

anderson, evans and williams had ZERO starts last year.

Of the nine players you listed only one had double digit starts.

So changes in defensive packages and a new system will magically have no effect? Just because a coach is good at one program doesn't mean he will be just as good at another. Epsecially coordinators. Look how bad venables was against big 12 offenses and how dominant his defenses are in the ACC....

You can argue inexperience until you are blue in the face, but Bama is going to return 15 to 20 guys on defense that have had their numbers called and rose to the occassion on the biggest of stages.

You are not going to temper anyones expectations about this defense. It will get sacks and create tunovers because they are athletic as frick. There are litterally no spots on defense that can be pointed to as weakness. There is talented depth everywhere. This defense will equal or surpass the 2015 defense.

Do you realize that Alabama starts at least 15 players on defense on the first snap of every possession unless you're predictable as frick like LSU? Did you even watch Alabama play anyone else?

Incorrect Everyone of them started or at least played a starters amount of plays last year. Tomlinson led our team in passes blocked at the line. I don't think he did that from the bench. Alabama does not start 11 guys they have like 18 starters depending on the package and they lost 7 of those and the rest returned.

Bama welcomes your 18 starters back, bruh. They pushed them all over the field. So did Arky and Ole Miss.

I thought only UT did that, and only in goal line situations.

(PS: I understood what you were trying to say.)

OK OK OK

depending on the package LSU returns

six starters on the DL
five starters at LB
seven starters in the secondary

Wow!! That's 18 starters LSU returns just on "D".

That's not counting the other 9-10 guys that are in the rotation just, not starters.

Never said tomlinson didn't play. I said he never started a game like you claimed. He was actually bama's fourth most productive Dlineman after the three starters.

Haha. I love how bama is going to fall.

Let me inform you tiger fans.

Defense will actually be better.
Offense will be better

This will be the most explosive bama team since sabans arrival.

Our two young 4&5 star Qb's will emerge as the best QB tandem in bama history. Mark my words.

Our defense is going to be scary good. It make me shudder how good.

Clemson, LSU, FSU, Meechigan, whoever, better come to play.

Rue Bama's demise at your own risk.
