What Saban is doing IS a fad and Alabama is just lucky to reap the benefits. He'd do the same at 10 other SEC schools. Was already building the same type of thing at LSU. Alabama isn't special. Just lucky to have Saban

Sir you need to see the big picture, I know Bama fan's thread is prone to the automated response from LSU posters. I was implying Clemson is problem for the Sec. So with that being said what Saban did at LSU either isn't special either?....according to your logic

Miami threw twice the money at him that LSU was currently paying him. And I think (my opinion only) he felt he had reached a plateau at LSU after winning the NC. That was his first national championship. He was looking for greater challenges (which is the nature of who he is - it is why he is GOAT). Then he got to Miami and found out what reality was all about. It was just good fortune that the Shula reign came to an end exactly when he was fed up with Miami.

Just the way it is.

Beating the PAC is nice but beating the B1G is the most fun of all!

S E C
S E C
S E C

For the repressed SEC fans, beat Bama and you will get the same S E C chant in the post season, otherwise get on board as it just sounds like sour grapes.

How exactly does that impact the outcome of the game? My mom grew up in Alabama so we always cheered for Alabama growing up (unless they were playing State) so they are my 2nd favorite team. I really doubt that my cheering for them tonight will have one iota chance of pulling Alabama through for another NC.

Yea I really hope Bama wins 2 NC's in a row. That will help keep our instate talent home.

This is exactly why I'm pulling for Clemson. In this millennium Auburn has won a title (should have 2), LSU has 2, UF has 2 and Bama has 4.

'09- By far Texas's best player goes out immediately and Texas still almost won with Garrett Gilbert.

'11- Didn't win your conference or division but got in

'12- If Ohio State wasn't on those bull shite sanction then y'all are never even in the game.

Bama is obsiouvly the best team in the country but you've been good for about 5 years and you think you've carried us for a century. Fuch you gump.

LSU fought tooth and nail to earn its championships and make the SEC great.

The gumps were just handed theirs.

Bama's been carrying this conference on their very broad shoulders for the better part of a century. You love to kick us when we're in one of our brief and rare down periods and you love to hate us when we're toting your sorry asses like now.

This thought process right here is why people hate Alabama.

Check your history, corndog: a MNC in every decade since the 20's except for the 50's and 80's, 26 SEC titles, most Bowl appearances of any school, first Southern team to play in the Rose Bowl, #6 all time in number of wins, and a winning record over every team in this league. So yeah, I'd say we're toting your arse yesterday, today, and tomorrow since you frick sticks that point to those numbers you threw out about LSU, Florida, and Auburn forget that those are an aberration from the norm; a blip on the radar. The other 90 years you've been playing football you don't have shite to show for it.

Edit: And I don't blame Auburn, it's ok. We hate each other and we know it. I openly pulled for both FSU and Oregon. That's the nature of the beast. But I try to pull for the rest of the league otherwise but y'all make it hard when you hate Bama just because we're Bama.

Honestly, who gives a shite about what team somebody pulls for? Personally, I will be watching Twilight Zone re-runs tonight, hoping Clemson wins but knowing BAMA will dominate in a boring game.

I don't hear the "SEC! SEC!" chants...

Back in the early 2000s when it was common to hear the "SEC" chants there were multiple SEC teams in contention for the NC any given year and it was more of a comradery. It's safe to say that the rest of the SEC is sick of Alabama's recent domination. It's no fun when one team is there every year. I'm starting to find it less interesting.
