Also, mid-career people now would have graduated int he 80's 90's when some of the SEC schools may not have been as quality as they are now.

They are talking about mid-career wages for all of their graduates. That includes Teachers, writers, social worker and other lower paying field of studies. The Service Academy graduates are all paid the same within the military based on rank and not degree.

Frankly, the mid-career averages are low for every school on that list. And it's for the same reasons as stated... Averages. There are a lot of meaningless majors out there.

The SEC is in the south. It's what the S is for. The south has a low cost of living. If you stay where you went to school, a "low" salary can be good compared to the northeast or west coast.

In most of Louisiana you are living good on that

Let's see most of Louisiana lives in the stretch from Lafayette to New Orleans. You cannot live comfortably and buy a nice house in Laffy, BR, Nola, or the Northshore on $40,000 a year. Hell, $100,000 a year would be barely tolerable with a family of two kids.

I agree with this statement. You can't buy a decent house in the New Orleans metro (other than the Northshore) for less than $300-350k. I'm doing very well for myself and decided against being house poor due to the taxes and insurance that are also associated with it.
