Can't speak for the rest of the West, but LSU has Wisconsin this year, has had Oregon/TCU/WestVirginia/VaTech/Washington/UNC all on the schedule in recent years, and all the while as the only team in the SEC that plays Florida, Alabama, and Auburn every year - which are the only teams besides LSU itself that win SEC national titles.

LSU can hold its head pretty high in regards to SOS.

Thankyouuuu!!!!

All the SEC West schools do a good job of trying to get at least one decent/premier game OOc every year.

Only exception being MissSt.

We've played West Virginia, Ga Tech, Oregon, Oklahoma State over the years and have Arizona and N.C. State in the coming years. Learn something before you type out some garbage kiddo.

Dafuq? UGA has Clemmy and GT (@home), plus Troy and Chas Southern.

USC has @Clemmy, and hosts ECU, who would beat the shite outta GT and went 10-3 last year. Furman and South Alabama = Troy / Chas Southern.

If you're going to single out UGA as the lone example of OOC strength, at least take a look at who else is on the schedules.

For the record, I'm not trashing UGA's OOC schedule. Just think USC is at least equal to it, and likely better.

Michigan is the only one worth mentioning. and that's a stretch. VT is up there with ND as the most consistently overrated football team at the beginning of each year. Logan Thomas is TRASHHHHH.

Well after beating the hell out of Texas in Austin last year, I think we deserve a break. Also, Indiana is about as bland of an OOC as you can get

You could say the same for many of LSU's opponents.

You usually play 3 garbage teams and 1 power 5 team just like Alabama. For some reason you think that's brag worthy. I don't. I only responded to your post because I thought you were genuinely unaware of how similar our OOC schedules are.

Carry on.

It is closer than i originally imagined. But we played WV with Geno, Bailey, and Austin twice. and Oregon with lamichael james, barner, and gang. little more respectable. And now Wisconsin.

really just our 1 power team is better than yalls. But yall still beat us. so its almost irrelevant. carry on. haha

I was kinda down with this thread and busting the mizzourite noob's balls and all ... until I read that stupid shite right there.

LSU's non-conference schedule is no better than SCAR's. It hasn't been for years.

Don't let the facts get in the way of your insecurities. It is what it is: in the last 5 seasons (2010-2014), only ONCE has Miss St. had a decent non-conference game on its schedule....that's one out of Five seasons. 1/5!

I'm not saying I necessarily disagree with Mullen's scheduling practices, as he has been trying to build a program, but the facts are the facts… Mississippi State typically has a crappy nonconference schedule relative to its SEC West peers that for the most part try to schedule at least one decent nonconference game every year (decent being against a Power conference team, with an occasional elite team mixed in)

2014... awful
Southern miss
South Alabama
Tenn Martin
UAB

2013...Perfect, this one is fine
Oklahoma st
Alcon st
Troy
Bowling green

2012...awful
Jackson at
Troy
South Alabama
Midd Tenn

2011...awful
Memphis
La Tech
UAB
Tenn Martin

2010...awful
Memphis
Alcon
Houston
UAB

Again, I don't necessarily disagree with how they've tried to build the program, but it is certainly puzzling for you to pretend like you guys have played even a decent out of conference schedule in recent years, because you most certainly have not. It has absolutely sucked relative to LSU/Auburn/Florida/UGA/etc. I don't give a damn who Mississippi State schedules, I just found your post ludicrous... You took a simple non-flaming statement of fact and somehow tried to make me out to be the bad guy.

I'm not one to take up for the Bammers, but I'm going to on this one...You gotta think, a lot of the games are scheduled 4-5 years in advance. Penn State, Michigan, and VT have seen some good teams come through in the last 5 years. It's not Bama's fault they happened to suck on the year they met Alabama. Same with West Virginia this year. They suck. But they didn't 3 years ago. I don't know when the game was scheduled but I'd assume it was around then.
