Tennessee

Tennessee was young for awhile. UT got made fun of because Jones kept claiming UT was the youngest team in the country for like 3 straight years.

It's a very real possibility that Kirby could pull someone out from the spike squad and get more sacks out of that Bossman than he would out of Zo.

Kirby can't coach and is a splitting image of Will Muschamp.

Is a "splitting" image better or worse than a "spitting" image? Inquiring minds want to know.

I agree that Kirbs has yet to prove that he can head coach at all. Georgia took a massive risk in hiring him, and it has yet to pay any dividends.

It's been one season FFS. Gosh you people are short sighted.

-Our fanbase has been rejuvinated and is more excited than we've been the last 4 yeras with richt
-We just signed the best recruiting class in school history
-The OL was never, at any point in 15 years, even a slight priority with richt and in his first full recruiting cycle kirby signed 6 OL, 5 of which are rated as 4* or higher.

But nah you're right, exact same as we've been doing I guess.

Because they had the second best recruiting class in the SEC and they don't play Alabama.

And how does that counter my point at all? He's still very unproven.

This wins games?

Take it from an LSU fan; gobs of talent can easily be squandered if the coaching isn't there.

You would have traded the "exact same as you've been doing" over last year's results, I imagine.

Last year was always going to suck.

Freshman QB, shite OL, bad WRs, inexperience all over. Maybe an experienced coach gets us 1 more win, but we wouldn't be in a better place right now with Richt here.

Yeah, as of now I have to agree with you on this. I'm hopeful he can get better considering it was only his 1st season, but he made some pretty egregious decisions last year.

Pretty much. You likely lose all the same games save maybe Vandy and Ga Tech. Probably also don't have the ridiculously close game against Nicholls. Might cost you UNC and Mizzou though with Richt likely starting Lambert longer. At the end of the day, I wouldn't trade same for better results last year. If this year isn't the step up that is anticipated though, yeah I think a lot of us might be thinking "same as we had been doing" would be better. Even with a less ideal home/road schedule, the slate this year should be more manageable between more experience on the roster and hopefully some plugged holes on OL and at WR.

C'mon man. Get with the program. For 40 years its the same deal. Preseason champs. Recruiting champs. Fulmer Cup champs. blah blah blah blah blah... By August the local media has their retarded fan base in a tizzy convinced that there is no way they can lose then September arrives and the hand wringing begins.

Reality sets in by the end of October and before you know it the cycle begins again and the focus is back on their worshiping of the latest 18 year old kid(s) that is for sure going to save them this time. They've been dreaming of the next Herschel Walker at whatever position since the early 80's. The latest was Eason until he actually had to play games. Now many of them are ready to kick him to the curb in favor of their newest obsession Jake Fromm. The shite never ends. Wasn't it Spurrier who in the midst of kicking the crap out of UGA every year wandered aloud what happened to all those 5 star recruits once they got to Athens?

Eh, at worst the next coach will have more talent. Not saying Georgia has had a problem with that recently but Kirby has done an outstanding job so far in that department.

When's the last time this has happened?

Maybe 2013, but even then injuries were a major factor. I feel like our fans have a pretty realistic grasp on our team.

Welp, glad to see a 90's era slur being brought back. I've got 100 dollars this clown didn't even go to Tech.

Because you said he hasn't paid dividends yet when it's been one year. What dividends other than positive direction, improved recruiting, and rejuvenated fan base do you want after his first year?
