The Big 8 was awesome and very convenient travel wise. In that hypothetical pod we would probably be better off travel wise and keeping some familiar rivals. With that said though, personally I still prefer where we landed. It's a great conference to be a part of. I've been through about half the Sec states and those pod states doesn't hold a candle to them, even Kentucky.

Well I'm in the KC area so I would choose the SEC if I had a choice. However I think StL area fans would be far more likely than KC to choose the Big Rusty. Most StL fans would still prefer SEC over the Big Rusty but there would be some wanting more ties to the Chicago area which I don't get at all.

I imagine it is a lot like Atlanta for us. It sucks in a lot of people for jobs, and either you spent time there, or have a relative or friend who wound up there.
Besides they like meat. And heart attacks. Feels homey.
