Whoa whoa! Posted this before going to work. He is not leaving Alabama to coach at another school. I was answering the question in the OP as to who was under more pressure. I feel that opening up the season 0-2 in your only non-cupcake games would cast some of the sub-standard (on Bama standards) performances of the last couple years in a different light. If you don't think there is a post-season trend away from dominance for Bama then where have you been the last couple years? Or is getting owned by Oklahoma and Ohio State business as usual all of a sudden?
Anyway, happy friday. Can't wait to watch the game.

Wisconsin is a cupcake now?

The last two bowl games (one of which playoff game) are not up to Bama standards, but let's provide a little clarity to the situation. We are still talking about a team that won the SEC just last year. They beat LSU on the road just last year. They beat what was, at the time, the #1 team in the country just last year.

Losing by 7 to OSU and having the ball on the final play of the game with a throw into the endzone with a chance to tie is "getting owned"? The OU game was a one score game and Bama had the ball with about 2 minutes to go before a sack, fumble, score provided the final margin. Being down by 7 with the ball in the final 2 minutes of a game is "getting owned"?

With the entire west relying on you, it has to be Richt. Case closed.

Saban seems to be self-pressurized.

The lost one wandered into the end zone an awful lot vs SCU. Dumb luck?

Saban is always under pressure. Winners just are.
Richt not so much. He's just "glad to be here!"

That being said. Check in with me at the end of the season for the real answer.

Mudflap out.

I do not think Saban is under any more pressure than he normally puts upon himself.

Now Kiffin and Smart, on the other hand...

According to LSU fans Saban would only be at 'Bama for four years. Tops.

After thinking about it Richt isn't under any pressure. UGA fans don't expect sec titles.

Bama finally plays a decent east schedule and loses a game. It must be nice to not have to play Georgia ,during the regular season, for 7 years.

Yeah, we went ahead and dropped the Ole Miss game preemptively so after Georgia beats us, we can claim we weren't that great to begin with.

Pressure is definitely on Richt. He's come so close so many times.

when you have #1 recruiting classes year after year the fans expect you to win every game. I think the pressure of expectations does piss Saban off ..and tightens him up.

I was say Richt because Saban has proven he is a champion and Richt has not.

Georgia could win the SEC East blindfolded. Have yall watched any games from that division. If Saban loses tomorrow, he is 0 and 2 in league play and playing for pride after the first weekend of October. Neither coach is on the hot seat as far as job security. Nick can name his school and his price. Texas will be looking for a guy after this season and he loves a challenge. Don't know if they can pay him what he may want, price of oil is at an alltime low.
