I admittedly sold the guy short, because I wouldn't have thought of him as Bama's best.

So the other guy who did it takes 5th then. Sounds settled.

You don't get points for 2nd place. If Henry wasn't there sure. Plus Henry didn't disappear in big games or take his last season off. He actually worked harder taking his team to a natty but putting alot of miles on his legs probably causing him to drop out of the 1st round because of it. Guess some guys just care for their school more than others

So, the criteria of "better season than Herschel" doesn't get applied to all players. Seems legit.

Well like I said he also won the Heisman and actually raised his level of play unlike some players who seemed to shy away from the moment

Ah so it's an arbitrary set of criteria that you're just making up. Got it. That being the case, Henry isn't 4th due to lack of career numbers. Glad that's now settled.

So, it looks like this discussion needs to be expanded to "Who's the 4th and 5th best running backs in SEC history?"

Obviously numbers play a part as Well as big game performance and overall career work.

That's the point of me saying what I did. Of course his NFL career overshadowed his college career, still doesn't take away the fact that he was 3 time all sec, sec player of the year, single season rushing leader at UF, most rushing TD's at UF and a unanimous All-American

Look man I don't make the rules. I'm sorry LF just wasn't as good as Henry it's best if you just except it and move on

I never said he was. In fact, I said he was 5th (behind Henry) based on your own criteria, which you then had to change.

You're going to have to try harder.

The list based on total yardage is misleading. Remember up until the 70s it was a 10 game season, and 90s an 11 game season and now a possibility of 15 games. Plus Bowl yardage didn't count toward those numbers until the late 80s.

He's a good back don't get me wrong. He's just not quite there. More like 7-15 range. I mean Kevin faulk, Todd Gurley, Shaun Alexander, Cadillac Williams are all ahead of fournette. All fournette has is the 1 great season and not enough performances to make that 1 season worth top 5 status. But it says alot about him that just tgat 1 season puts him in the top 10 he should be proud of that

Nick Chubb after he takes over second place all time in sec rushing yards.

All Henry has is one season and their numbers are almost identical on a per game and per carry basis. In fact, Fournette's career numbers are better than Henry's so the "1 great season" argument hurts Henry more than Fournette.

You need to find a criteria and apply it across all players considered or you're going to keep looking ridiculous.

Or just not try to put the #14 all time rusher in the top4 greatest backs

But look at what Henry did in big games compared to fournette you Keep ignoring this part. Plus it hurt Henry's stats early in his career having to play behind eddy lacy
