Correct.

Rush for more yards than Herschel in a single season*. And that only gets him to 4th not saying he's better than walker

If that is your criteria, then Fournette is 5th, because he is the only other SEC back to ever rush for more yard than Herschel in a single season.

I'm ignoring it because it wasn't a factor until you were forced to put Fournette in 5th by the criteria you'd set earlier in the thread.

He isn't automatically 5th just like Henry wasn't automatically 2nd. Henry was 4th because Bo and dmac had better creed numbers and also played well in big games

So Fournette having the 2nd best single season and better career numbers than Henry would still put him in 5th. You're trying so hard to keep him out, but if you put Henry in 4th there's no way you can.

Here's an idea, move Henry into 3rd and Ingram into 4th because of the Heisman. You'd have to move McFadden into 5th, but that's worth it to keep Fournette out I'm sure.

The list based on total yardage is misleading. Remember up until the 70s it was a 10 game season, and 90s an 11 game season and now a possibility of 15 games. Plus Bowl yardage didn't count toward those numbers until the late 80s.

Also, for the older players, their bowl games didn't count in their stats. Here are the top "12 game seasons" (11 games + bowl for older players, first 12 games for newer players) all-time in the SEC:

410__1,975__20__4.8__Herschel Walker (11 + bowl)
300__1,953__22__6.5__Leonard Fournette
309__1,915__18__6.2__Bo Jackson (11 + bowl)
295__1,797__22__6.1__Derrick Henry
304__1,725__15__5.7__Darren McFadden

Henry LOL !

How about George Rogers, Charles Alexander, Caddallic, Fournette and even Guice are better running backs than Henry.

Henry also won the Doak, Maxwell, and Walter Camp.

Elite is the only way to describe his 2015 season

Kevin Faulk is the #3 rusher in SEC history. How is he not in the top four? The guy was incredible at LSU, and then went on to be a solid pro (unlike McFadden).

Henry played on a great team with a great oline. Kevin Faulk played on a team that was rebuilding and he was the centerpiece of that rebuilding process for four years.

Faulk easily.

Faulk, Alexander, E Smith, Fredrickson, Williams, Fulwood, Agee and I'm sure I'm forgetting some who are all better than Henry and Fournette.

I'm not sure Henry or Fournette even make my top 20 SEC running backs of all time. They are probably around the Tre Mason level.

I loved faulk. He definitely has an argument. Which is why he's in my op.

I don't care if Henry is on that list. I'd take Shaun Alexander or Garrison Hearst over him.

And Reggie Cobb wasn't too damn shabby either.

Just saying, the fact that he won the Heisman doesn't make him great.
