Auburn was 3 plays away from being an 8-4 team last year. MSU, UGA and Bama all should have been losses for Auburn and again the stars aligned for them. Luckiest team in college football IMO

It still baffles me that people like you think the Auburn team that played Miss State was the same Auburn team that played for the National Championship. Pre TAMU and Post TAMU Auburn were two completely different teams. Ubfortunately , y'all will be playing the post team this fall.

Every team is different from beginning of season to the end. Why do you use that as an excuse?

Yes they are different but that doesn't necessarily mean they are better. Auburn got better from game to game.

ETA: and what excuse I'd I refer too?

It all falls on the Merlinz..They have the perfect QB for the system he wants to run. They will have a stingy defense. They also have one of the easiest schedules IIRC.. If they fail to win 8 games they should be looking for a new head coach.

That may be, bud, but you honestly think Auburn wouldn't have been an even bigger favorite had we played y'all at the end of the year?

And if we are talking "miracles" what about bro's fumble on the two in the egg bowl?

Most if not all teams improve during the season. Unless they have major injuries.

If Auburn was "lucky" to beat Miss St, then Florida St was "lucky" to beat Auburn. Game winning drives and such

Nah, our defense got much better and we had some play makers emerge as the season went on. Our weakness was at RB and he's now gone. Thank goodness. We're as loaded as ever at WR and TE and we're deeper than ever at each defensive position. Our only concern is place kicking and possibly at Oline but I think we'll be improved there as well.

Of course not but if AU was better at the end so was MSU. They both were.

I never said anything about miracles and that is not one anyway considering OUR defensive player caused it

Also we played our 3rd string qb for 3 quarters and then Dak came in the 4th quarter (injured)

Plus our punting unit gave OM their only touchdown, as they recovered a muffed punt in the endzone. Shouldn't have been a game.

You're an idiot.

It was an ugly arse game all around and we played our absolute worst since Freeze got here. Yet, it still went to OT and could have gone either way.

Hear the cows went in heat early this year, which means for some strong cheese.

This is what we're talking about when we say hype right?

Not to cause a shite storm, but that auburn team blew a huge lead and lost that game. Y'all were a great squad no doubt, but it baffles me you would use that game to prove your point.

State has the best team they have had since Jackie Sherrill, and I think they would win 10 games in any other conference. However, I'm not buying the hype because they will still finish anywhere from 6th to 4th in the West.

We played a true fricking fresh at QB over 3 quarters worth and still found a way to win the game. Our defense didn't give up but 3 pts to your offense. If it wasn't for our screw job right before half in our own endzone, you wouldn't have scored a TD. I spoke nothing but facts, idiot.

Its mullen's best team so far but there are just as many people putting us toward the bottom as the top. Let's not exaggerate.

I haven't seen many state fans at all that are just sure it will be a great year. Just people that think it is very possible.
