How much does their hype go? What are they predicted to be? I think they have a pretty favorable schedule don't they? I don't think 8 wins is outside the realm of possibility.

I do. Their defense gave AU the most trouble last year, and Dak is good. This is one of the few times I agree with ESPN.

What is so difficult about VHS? We have won there numerous times.

Ok, Dak is a very good QB, and Moo State will have a good defense.

Proof? Better than a healthy Tyler Russell?

By Moo State standards, it might be a special season, but does anyone join in the "cute" tv analysts who view them as a darkhorse to win the West?

another year of beating everyone they should, and not so much of anything else.

The problem for MSU is the rest of the West has gotten better too, particularly Auburn and Ole Miss.

They'll pull off an upset somewhere but if I had to guess their record:

Southern Miss W 1-0 (0-0)
UAB W 2-0 (0-0)
@ South Alabama W 3-0 (0-0) (terrible scheduling)
@ LSU L 3-1 (0-1)
Texas A&M W 4-1 (1-1) (most likely upset)
Auburn L 4-2 (1-2)
@ Kentucky W 5-2 (2-2)
Arkansas W 6-2 (3-2)
Tennessee-Martin W 7-2 (3-2)
@ Alabama L 7-3 (3-3)
Vanderbilt W 8-3 (4-3) (although Vandy may spring an upset - they're going to recede a bit from the Franklin era but not completely - they'll pop someone)
@ Ole Miss L 8-4 (4-4)

So you have a solid season but you still lose 4 SEC games and you lose to Ole Miss, and you may lose to Vanderbilt.

Yippee.

I was about to post the same thing. I think the bigger question is who is buying the Ole Miss hype?

Not this guy. Ole Piss is another story, they always seem to play us tough and aren't really intimidated by LSU.

Moo State always looks like they scurred

Using Ole Piss and Moo State in the same post.

Will probably finish with 3 losses. I can't say we won't be favored in Oxford, our defense was entirely too dominant against them last year for me to give them any edge yet. Getting over the hump and finally beating LSU is another story, I won't believe that one until it happens.

Not sold on Prescott just yet. The defense always seems to play solid and it seems they always have a decent cover corner or two. But much like Ole Miss... stop talking about being good and start doing it.

I doubt you'll be favored, and it's dominant, not dominate.

I think MSU will be solid and I worry more about them more than Ole Miss. Whatever that means, I don't know

If there was ever a year for them to break through, this is it. If Mullen can't win with this group then I don't know man.

A little unfair to him however. What's he had around him to help? Not much. Dude has the tools... just needs some help. Maybe this is the year he gets some.
