People who say Julio has better hands than Amari didn't watch very many Alabama football games from 07-10... "Stone Hands Jones" was his affectionate nickname among my friends. Love the guy but he had quite a few drops in college.
Still a beast.

Who ya got? Amari Cooper or Julio Jones?
Depends on what you want. I think Cooper is more like AJ Green.
That's fine if that's the kind of receiver you want.
But I think I'd take the more physical Julio Jones easily.
I could argue they are among the very few best ever to play the position at Bama.

Ahh gotcha. Then yea I agree with everything you posted.

I take Cooper.
You can't go wrong here, but I'd prefer the better route runner. Depends on what you are trying to do on offense though, Julio's run blocking was/is impressive for a wide receiver.

McElwain definitely didn't pass his offense around Jones.
No where near tot he extend that he did Cooper.
Jones is bigger stronger, may be as fast.
I would take jones

Hell, I'd take either of them on my team. Cooper is going to be dynamic wherever he winds up.

From a physical standpoint I'd have to say Julio. The dude is built.
If I go by technique and a tremendous work ethic, I'd have to say Coop.
Tough decision.

If you believe reports, Cooper was running in the low 4.3 range this summer, and is certainly faster then JJ in game conditions. He has better hands and is a much more elusive route runner the Julio as well. He reminds scouts of a bigger Marvin Harrison.
Julio OTOH is just the prototypical physical specimen. He's also proved it in the NFL already making the pro bowl. Gotta go with that at the end of the day!

Julio with good hands? Lol
If he could catch it would not be fair.
Give me Cooper

Amari is the better college player but I think Julio will be the better NFL player...Amari is more about speed and finesse, Julio is power and physical but it just depends on who stays healthy.

Coop in college
Jones in NFL
Is the correct answer.
Jones is freakish, in terms of size/strength/speed combination. He was as close to a gimme stud in the draft as you'll find. He's lived up to the expectations as well. He is in the top tier of receivers in he NFL.
Amari is great, and might be a great NFL receiver, but he easily has more bust potential. His route running is easily what separates him from most every receiver I've ever seen, which is great, but just not as good as being able to physically overpower your competition at the NFL level. Dude does make CBs at the college level look silly, though.
In today's game Megatron lite>Jerry Rice lite
