LSU. Well depending on LSU qb.

well played. It's nice to see you two fanbases going at each other and not us. I just can't help myself to get involved.

BCS runner up don't mean shite. At least five sec teams would have beaten Notre Dame at the end of the 2012 season

LSU on the road last year was a disaster... 1-3 with a win in Starkville... their defense looked like crap in all four of them.

I love it that you think your D got better
Landry is still wide open

the funny thing is people want to refer to the lsu arkansas game. arkansas plays lsu close EVERY YEAR regardless of how bad they are

I'd hardly use what happens in the 2014 LSU/AUB game without them as an indictment of what would have happened in a game in 2013.
I agree that isn't a good apples to apples comparison, but it also isn't really what I was getting at. My point is that I think Auburn's offense was at a level LSU wouldn't be able to stop in late 2013, and will be similar in 2014, with similar results.

Well how did we ever make it to Pasadena?
Did we get a mulligan that I am not aware of?

Well, UGA-AU is probably the closest rivalry in points in the country, so...

I think LSU just has problems with 3-9 teams. Or the fans could have left which makes the players stop playing
From what I have learned in this thread

I don't care about a game last year that will never be played. I just care about the game that will be played next year. With no quarterback, no wide receiver and no defensive tackles, LSU might as well stay at home and save themselves the embarrassment of getting beatdown by 3 or 4 touchdowns. I don't see that game even being close

And I think LSU's passing offense takes a huge step back
And the game will be at Auburn instead of LSU
Auburn may blast us, but that's hardly comparable situations to make an assumption about what would have happened in Baton Rouge or neutral site late in 2013.

I heard we were looking at putting one of our safeties at qb this season. Seems to work for other one dimensional teams

Again, not using how Auburn will look in 2014 as a comparison to a hypo Auburn-LSU 2013 matchup.
I'm instead looking at where Auburn was when LSU beat them solidly vs. where Auburn and LSU were in late 2013.

I don't think people realize just how bad LSU's defense was last year (when compared to LSU standards)...
In SEC Games last year:
5th in PPG (24)... 5th in YPG (399)... 7th in YPP (5.73)... 9th in plays defended (370 more than bama who was 1st)... 8th in rush YPG (170)... 7th in pass YPG (229).
those are some painfully mediocre numbers... can the defense improve enough to account for the drop in offensive production in 2014?

good enought to beat that one dimensional offense.
I like this what if threads. It shows the pathetic hope some of you have.
