Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

If you guys made a NCG appearance, regardless of outcome, we'd never hear the end of it from your fans.

Auburn on the other hand goes right back to work.

Actually, the start of Malzahn and Richt's HC careers have been pretty similar. Innovative big shot OCs from championship teams, quickly lead their teams to one-loss conference championships, other coaches bitch about their offensive style and pace, national title seems right around the corner...

Congrats on being the team that messed up the SECs consecutive BCS championships

The difference here is that Auburn won't tolerate years of almost but not quit from Malzahn. For better or for worse if the PTB don't feel like Gus is getting the job done he'll be gone

I'm wondering when people will stop throwing this out there as if they give a shite about some conference pride BS.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Close? YOU made the thread!

Who Wins a NC First: Kevin Sumlin or Mark Richt?

Funny, but I don't see close anywhere in the title. HOWEVER, since you protest...and since you want to count their stints as assitant coaches....then Mark Richt won one first. Then Sumlin. I guess Malzahn came in last. He won his after Sumlin and Richt.

Make more threads. Please.

No

Surprisingly though, there's been more UGA fans calling into Fbaum complaining/defending Richt than I could ever recall. Seems like there's a divide developing in the fan base between the "he's a good guy" and "fire him NOW" camp. Finebaum is trolling by singing, "For he's a jolly good fellow" in the background

I'd like to see a more vocal minority at least put some pressure on Richt and maybe light a fire under him?

Ummmm....weeeeeell. I admire Auburn for what they have done. BUT, it WAS an Auburn fan that started this thread. And we DO hear an awful lot about 2010. Maybe you should concentrate on gettting undecided back to work? he seems to be ignoring his responsibilities.

You dufus he's referring to the fact that Auburn is currently ranked #3 in the nation and is "working" towards a 2nd consecutive NC appearance.

You're the reason UGA can't have nice things
