Stack the box and leave Dupre/Dural one-on-one..

Can't. Wait.

I imagine a lot of teams will do this with full confidence that Harris/Jennings can't get them the ball.

I don't think Dural and Dupre are putting much fear into defenses at this point in time. Dupre may end up being great but he's still just a freshmen that is coming from a run heavy offense in high school. If you're expecting him to abuse SEC corners from the jump then you're gonna have a bad time.

He'll just abuse your corners for starters then. Talent is talent regardless of offensive/defensive scheme.

I agree, but he'll be up against some young corners as well.

IIRC isn't Brown expected to start for yall?

Coming from a run heavy offense in high school doesn't mean shite..if anything, he's used to blocking a lot, which is always a learning curve in college. Summer 7 on 7/ fall ball vs 2 of the best CB's in the league will have him ready to abuse SEC corners from the jump

In 2011, LSU continually pounded the ball against teams with 8+ in the box consistently. I think LSU's oline will be somewhat similar to that oline. If we can consistently get 4+ yards a carry, this will leave Dural and Dupre in one on ones. They will be bigger than most corners, and Harris/Jennings will not have to make perfect throws to get them the ball. I also see LSU using the tight ends much more this year which well help open up the field a little bit and should take some pressure off the young quarterbacks.

I just don't get it. How many touches is Fournette really going to get? He's got two guys in front of him.

Taylor will be the starter, and if he's really the starter, he'll probably have close to 200 carries. Mike Gilislee had 244 carries as the starter in 2012.

Kelvin Taylor averaged almost 20 carries a game once he became the starter. 20x12 = 240.

So, I expect that Taylor will have 100 more carries than Fournette, and unless UF's offense sucks again horribly, he'll have the better season.

LF will be the #2 behind Magee.

I expect 10-15 carries a game for LF early on.

My seating area in Houston may get a bit messy if he gets 10+ against Wisconsin

oh he'll get 10 against Wisconsin. It's been known from day 1 that LF has said he wanted to go wherever he could immediately play. les didn't recruit another RB foir him. He'll see the field.

IIRC Williams received his LSU offer very late.
