i hate the stupid fricking word delusion and the extra stupid people who don't even know what they are saying and put disillusioned instead.

LSU, we always think our team is much better then they end up being. See last pre-season after we lost our entire defense.

It'll be bama. They got blue in the face telling us AJ is more than just a game manager but now they'll swear their unknown 2014 quarterback will be able to step in and win 11 games with the talent around him.

UGA will win the 2014 playoff championship. I believe that USCe will be the most delusional.

Has to be the Gaytors. The fan base just has this superiority complex year in and year out, no matter what their record is.

Ummmm, your link doesn't show his quote. It sends me to a paid site for the CL. If Mullen did say that the MSU fan base would take 1-11 and be happy to beat UM, then I say he is delusional. Hell, he was on the hot seat with a lot of fans this year at 7-6.

He did say it, Here's another

quote:

Two years ago we were in the same position," Mullen said. "We were 5-6 and got a big win and went on the Music City Bowl. Got a big win there too. I don't see much of it besides that. We could 11-0 and 0-11 and for a lot of fans and people in this state, for how you feel, we could go 11-1 and lose the Egg Bowl and they'd be pretty disappointed. 1-11 and win the Egg Bowl, they'll say they'll take that. I wouldn't be happy with either of those scenarios. I want to be 12-0 and win the Egg Bowl. This game is it's own special entity. Rivalry are so fun because of that way. It's its own unique game. Your number one focus in beating the rivalry and getting the bragging rights for the state that year."

and from most state fans I know their opinion on Mullen has done a 180 ever since the result of the egg bowl.

Hell a lot of state fans wanted to fire Mullen on a bye week all because ole miss beat a top 10 team, and mullen can't.

Before it was " we need HUD, fire Mullen, he's mediocre, can't get a signature win"

Now "4of5 egg bowls is all that matters, our state frick ole piss" in other words we are keeping up with ole miss so it's all good and all is forgiven of Mullen

Exactly

There isn't another fan base in America who measures themselves in terms of their rival as much as State.

What the hell is wrong with thinking your team can win games? What is wrong with believing in your team?

Regardless of how many games we win a season, there is nothing wrong with looking forward and being positive.

If you have to make a thread about it, you are apparently worried about us.

OM definitely, with ARKY close second. MSU fans know that they are MSU and won't be on the LSU/Bama/Auburn level anythime soon.

Yep. Missouri has one of the least delusional fan bases in the SEC.

Maty Mauk is going to light it up next year. But beyond us competing for the East, you'll find very few MU ranters predicting a repeat.

Like I said it's a case of keeping up with the jones'

They've been able to do it the last 4/5 years( we'll ignore the fact that ole miss was god awful for 2 of those seasons, one was the worst season in school history)that's why they are happy with a mediocre coach.

But some how that fact makes me delusional according to maddoggystyle

After the Spring game the Disney Dawgs will tag us as 2014 National Champs in waiting. Of course the fatal flaw in that is that it's based on UGA vs UGA. SCAR fans won't be far behind us in overrating themselves though.

Nothing is wrong with thinking your team can win games or believing in your team. The problem with Moo State is your coach and team never follows through. You have to see results every now and then not to be considered delusional. Your team has an all time losing record in football for god's sake.

This is pretty accurate description of most Mizzou fans...not a delusional bone in our body. Don't be fooled by the few posters on this board that rant!
