A bust is any player that doesn't live up to his draft position. A first round draft bust, can still have a decent 5th round draft picks career.

Yeldon has already been replaced If the Jags thought he was good why sign another RB

Then why signed a Pro Bowl RB and not just draft one in the lower rounds

Actions speak louder than words

Because the NFL is a multiple running back league and they now have a shifty runner and a power runner on the same team............Ivory is getting a whopping $6.4M a year deal. He was one of TEN Pro Bowl running backs this season.

Also, do we now count the Pro Bowl as being something special? If so, Mark Ingram - Pro Bowl running back 2014.

Are you really this dense?

One final time

quote:

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed free-agent running back Chris Ivory to a five-year contract with a maximum value of $35 million earlier this month. But that shouldn't be viewed as a knock on T.J. Yeldon, said Gus Bradley, the NFL team's coach, at the league's annual meeting this week.

Only seven NFL running backs played more snaps than Yeldon last year.

That's one reason the Jaguars brought in Ivory, Bradley told reporters at the AFC coaches breakfast at the league's annual meeting in Boca Raton, Fla.

"It's a good complement," Bradley said. "Nowadays, the ideal is to have two backs. I think there was a game last year that T.J. played over 70 snaps. We just felt like if we can change that up a little bit, and give defenses, too, a different style of runner, I think is always important."

"I think it helps him," Bradley said. "We look at it as a way to help him, just for his health."

Bradley said Yeldon ended up playing so much because he turned out to be a better pass blocker and receiver than Jacksonville had anticipated. Yeldon caught 36 passes for 279 yards and one touchdown as a rookie.

The now 3 year starting linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys?

He was on the bath to being a bust. I wouldn't call him a bust now.

Cam Newton's NFL rushing stats are even better than Mark Ingram's.

Rolando McClain isn't a bust. He would actually be even better right now had he not had so many issues off the field. It stunts anyone's growth as a player when they miss significant time.

Busts? Terrence Cody and Trent Richardson for sure.

You do not see Minnesota signing another RB to a big FA contract do you

If what Bradley is saying is true then the Jags would have found a cheaper RB and used the money elsewhere

This may be too complicated for a Bama sidewalk fan

I would say a guy that can't keep himself healthy enough to play his position is a bust literally and figuratively.

Yep - though the Cody thing isn't shocking, he was always going to go one of two ways.

And, he even had a few bright spots. They released Kelly Gregg so he'd be the starter, and he was the starting NT on a really good 2011 Raven defense. Then he kind of fell of the map, but they even resigned him in 2014. So, he wasn't great, but for a late 2nd round pick he wasn't a massive bust. Definitley not a winning pick, though. Also the whole animal thing.

I still have no idea how Trent Richardson isn't at least a change of pace back somewhere. I don't get it. I don't understand it. I don't know how he all of a sudden became so incredibly awful at football.

Trent Richardson's vision is so bad it's almost like he tries not to hit the hole. I think he showed up to Baltimore weighing 240 pounds, possibly out of shape, and they didn't sign him. Their General Manager is a former Alabama player so it makes you realize how bad off he is as an NFL player.

The Jaguars 2nd running back is a college QB. Their starting running back is a smaller player who ended up playing the 8th most % of snaps per game of any running back in the NFL. They badly needed another, competent, proven NFL back to share the load.

Again, your hatred of Alabama has once again clouded your already poor judgment.

Yea, Ozzie has given quite a few second chances to Alabama guys and wouldn't sniff T-Rich.

I understand the facts of why he isn't good. I just don't understand how that happened. Sure, he played behind good offensive lines at Alabama, but he didn't run through giant alleys every play. The guy ran over, around and through people. It was just crazy to see him so bad at football.
