How about we establish the criteria to judge "best RB". Lets determine this prior to the season. Then at the end of the season we will see who fits that criteria.

Would be nice for us on here that enjoy informative dialougue instead of trolling and childish name calling insults. But...this is called "the rant". Not "my safe space college chat". Ha.

Seriously though it would be cool. Would need to start with someone, with more motivation than I have, putting a list together of each teams top 3 so we actually have names. Maybe basic star#, ht/wgt to get an idea of the type of back. Not much info to keep the basic list less congested.

Need to figure out the base stats with what we would want to include and score each stat group according to their importance or "stress" of what constitutes the better RB.

Pettway could be a beast in our run heavy offense but he'll be sharing time with at least 3 others.

Pettway ran for 1123 in 8 (basically 7 since he wasnt close to 100% against Bama)

RWIII didn't have the luxury of playing the Arkansas defense...

He did have 500 more yards than your leading rusher.

UGA fans can say chubb without being considered blatant homers
Between Guice and Chubb they have both been 1st team all SEC once

Not sure how we are the homers and not uga

Seeing a bunch of SEC West fans argue who is best, Guice or Chubb, tells me who is best.

Guice? I don't think so... a RB needs an offensive line to be "good" and LSU's will be questionable. I would vote Fornette except he will probably still be recovering from the nastiest sprained ankle in history... but you other fans, don't you dare say he quit on his team and took a Rolex and signed with an agent half way through the season. He is true blue to LSU...and is a fighter and fierce competitor who puts the "team" into "I."

Stick to not knowing anything about you own team. You obviously don't know anything about LSU. If they avoid the injury bug, next year's O Line will be better. Our best lineman was out of position and the second best injured most of the season. There will likely only be one new starter up front, and everyone will have plenty of game experience. Guice will be just fine. He did just fine this year.

As for your second paragraph, spoken like a pussy who's never played the game.

You can't go wrong with either Guice or Chubb.

I'd go Guice only because I don't know if Chubb can stay healthy which is a shame.

Hopefully Chubb can regain form but he was a shell of himself this past year. Not unexpected, but he has a long way to go before he's in this conversation

How do you know GUice can stay healthy?

The guy who's been hurt always has the cloud of suspicion over him afterwards. That's just human nature. If he stays healthy next year, it will be gone.

Chubb had 4.8 ypc this year

Guice had 8.0

It is fair to doubt Chubb post knee injury. He wasn't in the same stratosphere. I hope like hell he gets back, but until be does, there was no comparison between Guice and Chubb in 2016
