I love Tebow as much as the next guy, but y'all act like he's miles ahead of everyone else and that's just not the case.
The only quarterbacks better than him in SEC history are Peyton Manning and Cam Newton. Dak was very very good. But the logic used saying he is close to Tebow would be like Ole Miss fans saying Chad Kelly is a better college QB than Eli was.

Tebow was more feared in College ranks. Dak had better numbers on teams with WAY less talent than Florida had during those years. Dak will be a much better pro QB than Tebow was

One has two NCs, one does not. Tebow, even though he was surrounded by talent.

That's like asking who is better Trump or Hillary?

Definitely Gary Johnson, or in this case, Jevin Snead

Tebow. The guy won the Heisman in a somewhat down year for them that was sandwiched by two nat'l title years.
Arguably the most dominate SEC QB ever, IMHO.

I understand that the knee jerk reaction to the question is Tebow.

I understand it because it is the correct answer.

That's because people are idiots.

Hell, there are threads on the tiger rant in which people are legitimately arguing that Guice is better than Fournette.

Because Dak played for State. Tebow doesn't sniff the Heisman if he plays on Dak's State teams

No one knows that.

Some of you forget that Tebow's dominance had to do with the weapons around him. Tebow's also had better offensive lines. Florida also had far better defenses in 06, 07 and 09 than Mississippi State had while Dak was there. Those factors contribute heavily in Tebow's perceived dominance. Take away Harvin and a couple more weapons and Tebow looks a lot more human in college

This is such a dumb question. Tebow has outperformed Dak at every single level. Dak has a good couple of preseason games and now you're ready to anoint him. The NFL is tough.

look at Tebow Kaepernick etc ... To have success and be able to sustain it in the NFL is very difficult to do. People figure out how to stop u. Best of luck to Dak... But were it not for 2 preseason NFL games this topic wouldn't be brought up.

Tebow attended 3 heisman trophy ceremonies and should have won 2.

Tebow was an extra coach/motivator on the field. Harvin, spikes, Hernandez etc. so many head cases to manage.

Did you see what that skinny dude on spring break did to Dak? Aaron Hernandez would have made Dak his bitch.

To reiterate my point about Tebow being better at every level... That's exactly why he ended up at a school with better talent. Because he wasn't a 3 star qb from LA... Tebow was a 5star qb from FL

Lsu didn't offer Dak until he was basically set to EE at msu. Plus they signed Mett. He wasn't a priority..

Can't do hypothetical with Tebow at msu . He was too good outta hs to ever consider going there. It was bama or uf and considering bama one a title in 09, safe to say Tim gets his ring at either school.

All of this.

Plus, again.. I can't understand how some can't comprehend Tebow would have had, at the worst, similar success under Mullen as Dak did at Miss St.. and probably actually leads them better as the #1 team.. He probably wills a win versus that Alabama team which was still a close game.. even though Dak threw 3 freaking INTs.. Mississippi has its best season ever with its most veteran team and they still only win what 10 games? Okay..

Tebow also would have had better early success than Dak. Dak didn't break out till his Junior season.. Miss St caught LSU at the right moment and was due for a win in the worst way.. Miss St had one of it's most veteran teams ever and LSU was extremely young.. that win at LSU significantly bolstered their ranking/hype.. but it all came crashing down later in the season..

I just don't understand why people think only Dak could have success in the system.. Tebow would have been just fine in the same circumstances.. and probably wills his team to a few more wins..

But whatever..

Please someone look at this..

Even if Tebow drops a game, he probably gets the team fired up and has the team rolling again.. Miss St was benefitting from a weak schedule, a down SEC west that season, and having a veteran team.. and I just can't see Tebow losing those 3 games late..

Dak may become a better pro QB, but to say he was a better college QB because of a season or two in which the most he won was 10 games?? That's ridiculous. Don't care if it was at Miss St.. Tebow would have been a beast in the same situation under the same circumstances.

Even if similar passing stats, which they aren't.. you still have to take into account what Tebow did on the ground from the QB position.. and it was far superior than Dak..

Tebow was so ridiculously efficient.. even as a true freshman, his rating was over 200!

Tebow passed for over 9 thousand yards and rushed for nearly 3k.. in his career..

I don't care who played with him.. those are ridiculous numbers. He was an absolute monster of a college QB and it's not an insult or knock to Dak to acknowledge a difference.

Even just the eye test, watching both over their carrer.. I'm sorry.. Tebow jumps off the screen. Dak was solid.

Tebow may have had a better team, but he also beat better competition.. and faced better teams. He had more accuracy in college, he had more power, he had more leadership of commanding his team. He didn't get in trouble in the off-season with stupid drunken fighting incidents either. Tebow would have been a freaking monster as a Junior on that same Mississippi St team and he would have started over Dak.

Just off my head, Tebow beat down a top 10 UGA team, Tebow beat down a top 20 FSU team, Tebow actually won an SEC championship and has beaten Alabama, Tebow also beat a much more impressive LSU team, what top 3 or so team at the time? At LSU. Tebow beat down an OSU team. Even the SC team Tebow beat down was a ranked team. The East was better back then.. and his Western opponents were better as well. Tebow beat a #1 Alabama team in the SEC championship game, and it was absolutely all on him. He didn't go throw 3 INTs. He had 3 TDs and no INTS, 191 rating against that Bama D. As a true Sophomore.

He also had no rushing game in that game, and lead his team on the ground with nearly 60 yards rushing..

To think Tebow wouldn't be more successful under the same OC he had success with at MSU.. is absolutely insane.

Tebow was a 68% career passer. Debate ended. Tebow was Bronko Nurgurski of the days just after leather helmuts were extinct. Tebow willed his way through and around LBs DTs and DBs...watched his video of cold cocking Berry of UT and sending him four yds backwards when Berry came at him with a head of steam. Trust me Berry didnt know what what his name was for a few minutes.

I'm not knocking Tebow, but he was playing with a hell of a lot more talent around him.

Dak was better.

Tebow no doubt had the best college QB career out of the two and in my opinion, of all time. So he was the better college QB by stats and awards.

The better QB is Dak. Better football IQ, instincts, and release.
