And the most talented SEC back since at least Darren McFadden and that's debatable.

To get this in before the butthurt Georgia fans, 34-7 (since it means SO much to some of them).

Name one guy other than Herschel who is better than Carnell Williams, James Brooks, and Tre Mason for that matter.

Garrison Hearst. He had to overcome coaching and still won the Doak Walker.

I don't think there is any way one school can claim RBU

UGA, AU, Bama, Arkansas and LSU have all had great RBs and all seem to continue to recruit the best of the best.

It'll never be clear cut in the way that LSU is DBU.

I'd like to congratulate Matt Jones of Florida on his newfound legendary status as a result of his great game against UGA this season.

He was a UGA killer after all.

We just had this thread posted like last week. If I remember correctly, it was also an AU poster who started it. Stop being a pre-2008 Bama fan.

Auburn has these guys to claim:

Tre Mason
Cam Artis-Payne
Ben Tate
Kenny Irons
Carnell Williams
Ronnie Brown
Brandon Jacobs
Rudi Johnson
Bo Jackson
James Brooks
Joe Cribbs
Stephen Davis
Brent Fullwood
James Bostic
Mike Dyer
Tony Richardson

Can anyone else throw out a list to match this great one? Since we are talking about Running Back U, I won't even include what Nick Marshall and Cam Newton did in 3 short years.

I haven't posted anything in this thread about Cam and Marshall because neither are running backs. Apparently, it's hard for the puppies to find someone as good as the three I threw out there.

I would say Auburn, but UGA, LSU and Bama have at least credible claims.
