That Missouri coach a few years ago tanked a pretty decent program

Kim begat Cuonzo begat Dennis...this three-headed monster is my nomination.

Joker Phillips in football. Inherited a bowl team from Rich Brooks and in three seasons had us 2-10 and losing at home to Vandy 40-0.

Any other coaches on the list with a 22 loss season? Houston had two of them in 5 seasons at UT.

Yeah but Allen was great, that’s all I got

Trent Johnson winning the SEC and SEC COTY is deceiving because it was with John Brady’s players. The dude was horrendous and even had a few years here where multiple walkons started because he couldn’t even recruit enough players to fill out the roster.

May not be the worst, but Mississippi State humbly submits Rick Ray.
After going 21-12 and finishing sixth in the SEC but barely missing an NCAA bid, Mississippi State parted ways with its most successful coach, Rick Stansbury.
After being turned down by a host of mid-major coaches and future Louisville coach Kenny Payne, State went with the second assistant from a perennial NIT club, Clemson in Rick Ray.
In his three seasons at MSU, he went 10-22 (4-14), 14-19 (3-15) and 13-19 (6-12), never advancing past the first day of the SEC Tournament (The 11-14 day).
He finished .381 overall and .241 in conference despite having decent talent.
He was hired at Southeast Missouri State and somehow ended up worse, never having a winning season. He is an assistant at Colorado this year and they made the NCAA.

Jeff Lebo and Tony Barbee were some depressing damn times.

Johnny Jones missed the NIT with a top 10 (in terms of talent) starting 5 in the country including national freshman of the year and unanimous All-American Ben Simmons. I believe 4/5 of the starting 5 made an NBA roster.
He isn't the worst ever, but that was the worst coaching job in LSU basketball history IMO.

Billy Gillispie is Kentucky's worst. In the SEC overall it's probably someone from Ole Miss Auburn or Georgia. They've been abysmal historically.

Barbee, AU, was a disaster.

I immediately thought of Tony Barbee at Auburn.
