Obviously a shiny troll but I'll point out the obvious, do CWS titles all-time next and see what you come up with there chief.

During USC's run there were no scholarship limitations. So USC would sign more guys than anyone else.

still can't believe Oklahoma State couldn't finish one of those years in the 80s. Had arguably the two best position players in college baseball of the century.

7 straight CWS berths. No titles

I wish the shockers still had an elite program. Loved the way they played ball back in the 80s-90s

Texas has stronger claim than LSU.

Most college World Series appearances and games won.

Loved how ESPN used to have recap shows of each CWS during those years that they would replay around CWS time. Would sit at home during the summer and watch them for hours.

Still a lot of bad blood between Shocker fans and our fanbase going back to those years

I would agree with that for now

I'd say LSU is the best modern baseball program and I would say Texas is probably the best all time in my opinion

11 of USC's 12 titles came under one coach, Rod Dedeaux, from New Orleans.

Dedeaux was the head baseball coach at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles for 45 seasons, and retired at age 72 in 1986. His teams won 11 national titles (College World Series), including a record five straight (1970–1974), and 28 conference championships.

The Longhorns have 77 conference titles, too.

Because they have more runners-up titles?

LSU has never lost a championship series and has a better win% in the CWS than Texas - PLUS, the tie goes to LSU due to them beating Texas head to head in that last CWS finals for either team.

You sure you aren't an Auburn fan?

I remember Dedeaux bitching about Omaha's support of LSU over his Trojans. He claimed LSU had an unfair home field advantage. He also noted that USCw did not have its own radio coverage, rather, the USCw announcers were taped into a local station & the broadcast was then bounced back to Calif. As for Okie State, back then they played in one of the country's smallest ball parks & they hit record numbers of HR's for years. There was also no other team in their conference worth a shite. USCw had no competition on the West Coach. UT did & hats off to their program back then.

I just looked up the all-time series in my media guide and Texas leads LSU, 23-10-1.

You lose.

Oregon State has a claim to a Top 12 spot. Back to back titles a few years ago and ranked #1 this year.
