Texas a and dicks is 5-17 against top 25 SEC opponents. One of those wins was the commemorative 7 OT's you overpaid an additional 100 million dollars for.

And the man arse grabbers are 0-4 against top 25 out of conference.

Surely you can’t be dumb enough to believe PAC coaching success equals or exceeds SEC success.

But they have Elko now so let Daniel snuggle in his blanket, ok?

How about we let Deboer have a couple of seasons in the SEC before we make comparisons?

This thread has nothing to do with Elko. Stick to the subject.

Just interested in opinions and why?

I think they are both decent hires under the circumstances that they were hired.

I will try to remember to do it again after a couple of seasons

DeBoer took over 4-8 Washington and went 10-2. Not SEC, but equally as impressive as taking a 6-6 SEC team and going 9-3, IMO.

True. LSU was only two seasons away from a national championship so it's not exactly like the cupboard was bare.

Anytime you only have 39 players, the cupboard was pretty bare.

DeBoer, Kelly is 63 and now the old man of the SEC.
Kelly doesn’t even look healthy.

Was it really 39 players left, or just 39 players available for the bowl game. Opt outs and injured players kind of thing.

Believe it was 38 available for the bowl game, 39 once they started rebuilding the roster.

Just looked it up.

quote:

With 52 scholarship players returning, the new staff was then able to build out the roster through high school signees and transfer portal additions. With 25 new signees already inked, and seven more spots remaining to reach the 32-man signing cap, the Tigers are now up to the 77 scholarship number listed above.Jan 27, 2022

And the 77 number is reflective of the self imposed 8 scholarship reduction for NCAA violations.

Whoever reported that has inaccurate numbers.

They had 39 available.

Added 15 high school recruits.

Added another 15 transfers from the portal.

They gave scholarships to three walkons to get them to 72 scholarship players which is what they played the season at.

Can you link a few? I couldn't find an article with those specific numbers.

However, I am confident in the numbers I was given, they also seem to lineup with 247 Sports' numbers.
