Well I wouldnt say graduating from East Tennessee state would disqualify him from being a UT fan. As a matter of fact I would say that a small percentage of every fan base in the conference is a graduate of that school.

Dude that is so far from the truth. He did not do the Gator Chomp and Tebow was not there. He was doing a concert in Gainesville and They put a gator helmet on him, he decided it would be best for the show not to rip it off and slam it on the ground.

As for him graduating from ETSU, well so what. He was born and raised in Gibbs, a community of Knoxville. I think as a person he's great and I used to love his music but now it's terrible

I agree if you are a true fan your not wearing other teams shite. The funny thing is he was all about Tennessee when we were on top. Kenny is just another band wagon fan and we have many of them up here.

Some of you little squirts are missing the point.Condredge Holloway was the first black QB to start a game in the SEC and was also an All-American baseball player. Holloway was a sophmore in '72 making him miss getting to play as a freshman by one year. Oddly enough,his first game in 1972 was vs Georgia Tech,also quarterbacked by a black QB,the controversial Eddie McAshan making that game the first in the South with two black QB's starting the game.

It's called appealing to your marketing base. It's the same reason the president says Geaux Tigers when he spoke to the LSU graduates in 04 even though he never set foot at LSU in college. The same reason Michael Jordan refuses to get into politics or speak out on anything political ("republicans and democrats both wear Air Jordans.")

Kenny is a global country music star and makes millions nationally selling his music to fans across the southeast. You think he's gonna risk losing a buck by singing rocky top when he plays in Gaineville? Of course not, he's a saavy business man he's gonna appeal to his base in whatever locale he happens to be that particular night.
