Short memories.

That helps, I guess.

Ellis Johnson coached defenses have a knack for improving substantially from years 1 to 2.

So anytime an LSU fan brings up the Oklahoma loss or the IB loss, I can say this? Good.

It's the universal trump card. Usually shuts them up but not always.

Malfunctions offense is basically smash mouth football. Marshall only threw it like what? 10-12 times a game? They pulled a guard, had a fullback, and ran it right up the heart of the defense. When the JACK or DE would bite, Marshall would take it and run. The defense has to also account for the speedster coming on a sweep, who is also another threat for a option. They don't run a gimmick offense.

It was a gimmick to us. Obviously not to Bama.

I think that it is an abhorrent, despicable program; however, I don't have an opinion on others' preseason opinions of the 2014 season.

When you look up overrated in the dictionary, you see the Auburn logo.

Auburb's deep and experienced on the D line, and has upperclassmen at linebacker and in the secondary.

They're all also in the second year of Johnson's system. Can't be a bad thing.

The real Achilles heel of Auburn is special teams - kicker and punter. Those two might cost Auburn a couple games they might have won last year.

About halfway back to their winless SEC season is where I see Auburn.

It's not like continuity is a strong point for the burners.

I'm know the OP is LSU - but I think he should be worried about his own team. Every named player on their team left.

You may want to answer - do you have a QB? a RB? a WR? - the guys that beat AU last year all left. Good luck. You may get 40 dropped on you ..by half time. Gus learned one thing from last year - when the boot needs to be placed on the throat - do it. I suspect - your no name team will get blasted for the past years beat downs your named teams have handed out. Over rated or not - I don't know a single player on LSU's team anymore.

I actually think Gus will make auburn a contender forawhile.
Offense is legit
Defense is great to watch with the rotation which equals lots of xp for Alot of players

Will be some great games between alabama and auburn in the coming years

Auburn did not have nearly the same kind of team chemistry or confidence they had when they played LSU. Even Gus said he knew right around after the A&M game that he felt the team had "it".

Even if LSU shut them down, their offense is still not gimmicky.

I have a lot of respect for Auburn. Always a tough game. It will be tough to get a win down there this year. It's one of those games that makes the SEC great. Intensity, hatred. It's glorious.

Auburn isn't consistent, they have a track record. Has Malzahn ever been a College Head Coach for consecutive years? No. He moves on before other teams adjust to the gimmick. I'm betting Bert and Arkansas beats them their first game.

I guess it will be similar to the dark alley rapes you're used to.
