For starters, LSU did not face Auburn at their peak in 2010 or 2013, which is a benefit of playing them early or midseason. Georgia and Alabama are Auburn's 11th and 12th games. What 2010 and 2013 showed was that a successful Malzahn coached team progresses over the season. LSU wouldn't have defeated Auburn in Jordan Hare Nov. 30, 2013. Of that, I am certain.

Exactly!! Had an Auburn fan tell me yesterday that he is very confident that AU beats LSU by double digits this year. I asked him why he was so confident since AU lost to the P&G the last two years. His reply is that AU should have won the last two years

The second half of the LSU game was the turning point. Gus still learning the SEC ropes finally realized this guy can run better than he can throw. The defense just had to hold serve. Overrated this year? Until someone forces them to throw 30 times in a game they are appropriately rated to where they finished and project this year.

Does this mean if you lose a game early in the season we should just throw out that loss so it doesn't reflect on the records?
